Oh, I fondly remember being snowed in - definitely not a day to be dieting. Hot chocolate with marshmallows, toll house cookies, then later on, hot buttered popcorn (real stuff, not the microwave), while curled up on the couch in front of the fireplace. Then for dinner, a lovely pot roast or beef stew in the crockpot.

Well, enough of that, since I can't partake! I'm sitting her in my cold cubicle popping Benadryl,sucking on throat lozenges and trying to avoid my boss :-(

A good frosty morning everyone. We have about 20 inches of snow. And while the weather outside is frightful, you folks are so delightful. It's as though the sun is always shining. Keep on smiling.

Good morning, ladtx. Thank you for updating us on Jeff's status. So many of you have sons or daughters or nephews or nieces or husbands, wives, cousins, or other loved ones who have been shipped out, and our hearts go out to them and to all of you.

Also wanted to mention that Mama Bear and family are back from their cruise, but they had to take GrammyBear (JK's mom) into the hospital emergency room at 5:30 this morning. She was very conjested all day yesterday, but got even worse during the night and this morning was having difficulty breathing. She is in ICU now. Dr. said she had conjestive heart failure (at some point), but has stablized. Please remember them all in your prayers. Lori wanted to be here today to say hello, but is needed at the hospital instead.

I knew we were kindred spirits, {{{{{{{Inspectorette!}}}}}}

I was living in So. Easton, MA (outside of Brockton) during the Blizzard of '78. We had 48 inches of snow. Once a path was cleared to the front door of the townhouse I was living in, I had to push a broom handle through the snow to find my car.

My sister spent the night in a warehouse, abandoning her car on 138. My husband at the time was stranded in Dedham on Rt. 128 and spent the night in a movie theatre. I was home with my then-9-month-old (now 25-year old!).

Ah, the stories we could tell.....can you see why I love the South so much??? LOL!!
