Comments to the people of Hollywood.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; News/Current Events; Unclassified
KEYWORDS:
My comment to Robert Altman: It's too bad he thinks the American flag is a "joke". I wonder how all the "Good Americans" that fought in all the wars under our flag feel about Robert Altman who has the freedom of speech to speak out against our country. They lost their lives for him and all who think like him. Jessica Lange - sorry you hate one of the best presidents we have had since Ronald Reagan. The last administration was a "JOKE" Hey Danny Glover at least the criminals were not let out on the streets in Texas like the last administrtion did when he left office. Janeane Garofalo how about moving to the U.S.S.R. you could be happier there????? Larry Hagman I bet Bush is smarter and better educated than some of the people you assosite with. Ed Harris Bush is a better "MAN" than the one who was in the White House for 8 years. David Clenon you compared Bush to Hitler. David did you get to know Bush and Hitler personnaly to be able to comare so well? The last administration washed his hands and left Bush with all the dirt he should have cleaned up before he left the White House. Now President Bush has to clean up the dirt he left behind. Why don't all you so called "MOVIE STARS" stick to "ACTING - IT'S WHAT YOU KNOW BEST AND leave the job to the President and his administration. They know what they are doing.

I do not really concern myself with what celebrities have to say about politics in general. These people get paid to sing and dance and otherwise "entertain" us. What they do ain't rocket science folks. Memorize a few lines in a script and you too can be an actor or actress. Want to be a pop star? A side-step here, a side-shuffle there, swivel your hips and learn how to sing or play an instrument with some degree of proficiency and you can be in a pop band too. Sure, there are some entertainers out there with real talent and some of them get famous. But you can make it with good looks and the right promoter too. And even if you are one of the "talented" ones, that still doesn't automatically make you an authority on foreign policy or economics.

I think it is important to remember that and to put these "celebrities" in their proper place in the scheme of things. Sometimes their heads get big because so many of us "idolize" them and tabloid paparazzi follow them around everywhere they go. Some of them start believing their own press clippings. Well, remember that their function is to entertain us, not bore us with their naive and starry-eyed views of the world.

Yes, great article by Larry Elder but I think he got it wrong when he said those stars should stick to acting which is what they know best. Well,I dont' think they know how to act. How much talent does it take to get naked on screen like a lot of the women stars do and to show your butt (in more ways than one) like Looney Clooney did in his flop of a movie. Other than that Larry Elder hit the nail on the head.

Someone should write a book about the "stars" and what each one of them said. It owuld be a best seller for sure.

The people of "hollowedweed" are only doing what they know and have been taught to do during their entire career. lie, lie, lie, and lie with a convincing look on their faces. Remember Alec Baldwin when he said, "If Bush is elected President, I going to leave this country." He said it so convincingly that most people believed it. BUT HE LIED, LIED, LIED!!! (Darn it!)
