March 4 Federal authorities have told ABCNEWS that between 10 and 12 names found during the arrest of suspected Sept. 11 planner Khalid Shaikh Mohammed match those of a small group of men already under heavy FBI surveillance in the United States.
More arrests could be imminent, they told ABCNEWS.
The names were found in materials seized when Mohammed was arrested in Pakistan last weekend. He was handed over to U.S. authorities on Tuesday and is currently in the custody of the CIA at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.
According to Pakistani and U.S. officials, Mohammed is beginning to crack after three days of being roughed up by Pakistani interrogators.
"If you are dealing with a terrorist you hardly go to them with a rose and a bowl of soup and say you come with good intentions," Pakistani Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat told ABCNEWS.
"He is holding out, but I don't think he'll be able to hold out much longer," Hayat said. "There is always an end to human endurance."
But Is He Telling the Truth?
According to U.S. officials, Mohammed has gone from reciting the Koran over and over to disclosing details of terrorist operations that were being planned when he was arrested. But they say it is still unclear whether he is telling the truth or feeding the CIA disinformation.
"If he's made his mind up for example that he's got nothing to lose, that his fate is sealed, he may very well sit there, take credit for some things and then send you down the primrose path in some other direction," said Jack Cloonan, a former senior FBI agent who is now an ABCNEWS consultant.
Among the details Mohammed is revealing are planned attacks involving American gas stations and dams at key lakes and reservoirs, officials told ABCNEWS.
One piece of information he is not disclosing, the officials say, is the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden.
So, are the Pakistanis helping to get this guy to talk? Sounds good to me.
Heartlander this dovetails with that arrest in Va.
Whoever is leaking this crap ......

should be FIRED on the spot!
So now we have 10 or 12 guys who will go deeper into hiding because some reporter and some asshole had to GET this story out.
Do you have a link to that story?
This is an important story.
My thoughts, too.
To th media, the lives of inosent Americans mean nothing when there's a percieved "scoop" to be had. It's all about getting the get. Dan Rather is proof.
This is why "interrogations" of these monsters needs to be done in places outside the liberal sphere of influence, such as the United States. No games, no "can't we all just get along".
You are close...The Pakis got him to break by telling him he had two choices...Sleep with Hillary or squeal like a stuck pig. OINK OINK
LOL, how's he supposed to know what collapsed cave in Tora Bora is Osama bin Laden's tomb?
Do not become the evil we deplore. We should not turn into Saddam Hussein in our fight. It is not necessary.
I will not support this, and I do not think anyone should.
You would think someone's moving from safehouse to safehouse. Damn good thing I've been writing down license plates, coming and going there, for the last three weeks.
Time to turn in my list to local authorities, on't you think?
