I think the liberals ownership of the show would have a lot to do with that one.
McCain did respond well.
The doe eyed liberal young woman just up, seems to think that America does not support war. That could be further from the truth. Everyone I know, although they do not like war, fells that this war is needed.
The problem with liberals is that they hear only what they want to hear, and not the majority.

I agree. I am proud of the leadership our President is showing in this time of trouble. I think the media is going to try to villianize him though. It's all political. This country has been under non leadership for so long, they just don't know a good leader when they have one. In the end though, I think President Bush will have all of them eating crow.. I hope so anyway. :)

I watched this show with trepidation -- I've seen enough Nightline to know how heavily they spin to the left.

Near the end, they called on *7* liberals from the audience in a row.

But, my boyfriend and I concluded, it turned out ironically for the good: even though Azziz was the last from our side "called" and even though the liberals owned the first critical 20 minutes, the fact is that the conservative speakers on stage *totally* out-argued the liberal reps. I'm not just saying that because I agree with them. I'm saying that in terms of overall air time -- and I taped it BTW and I was watching the clock -- the conservatives got just as much time. It's just that more of our time was coming from the speakers on the stage.

Poor Kevin. Man, he stood up as the next man on the mike for the whole show. Koppel was picking where to go for the next question: there's no one left to blame. Kevin, we were shouting at the TV: "PICK KEVIN!" (It didsn't work.)
