So basically the only change is that she now sits up during work hours?
To: MadIvan
So now she's a politician, nothing has changed really.

"I was young and naive and had no perspectives."
She may not have had any perspectives, but I'll wager she had one heck of a set of headlights.

This story reminded me of one of the quotes I have in my profile:
"Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realise that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."

It's terrible how she has fallen since her relatively idealistic and pure youth.

I rtemeber reading in MacArthurs biography that while milkitary governor of Japan and institution democracy with elections an aide told him that in one of the elections a former prostitute had been elected
MacArthur asked how many votes she got and the aide replied (if I remember correctly ) something over 100,000
MacArthur said "Well they can't all of been her former customers "

How many Female MPs does Sweden have in their 50s who were hot enough to have been the woman in question?

Call me a cynic, but did you ever notice these I-was-a-hooker-now-I'm-respectable chicks claim to have done business with nothing but the very rich, the powerful, top drawer, VIP customers? When the truth is it might have been more along the line of: "Under the lamp light, by the barracks gate... "

She probably had a close working relationship with former president clinton.
To: MadIvan
And things have changed now that she is a politician... how exactly?

I was in Sweden this past summer. Apparently they had been very liberal with legalized prostitution in the 70s and gave it up after seeing too many women getting hooked on drugs (Sounds like a standard pimp tactic, at least according to the movies I've seen!)
Now, they claim that they will send johns to jail for several years if caught. Of course, with the notoriously loose morals of the Swedes, there is probably little need to pay for sex these days : - )
