Has anyone noticed how large and how fast this anti-war movement is growing? I am sure the answer is a definate yes but there are other things brewing within these protests.
All kinds of issues and opinions have added themselves to the protests and excuse me for not understanding, but what the hell does slave reparations have to do with this war in Iraq? My answer is absolutely nothing!
While the world holds its breath in anticipation of a war with Iraq, people from thousands of organizations are attempting to bend the ear of man kind in an effort to advance their issues. Why not, how often does the public get to hear about a cop murderer who is supported by the liberals?
The thing that really bothers me most about all of these protests are the people who show up just to protest a war but quickly figure out that anti-war is not the sole purpose of this protest. Some get upset and leave the protest and some stay and clap themselves silly. Those who chose to leave seem to have this puzzled look on their faces and then they start to mumble with questions. They want to know why the anti-war protests are more than just anti-war and my reaction to these dumb questions is a little mixture of anger and comedy.
You see, I think it is up to all of those protesters to find out the facts of an organization that they associate themselves with. Most of these organizations represent different issue's but they tend to use the most popular issue to draw in the unsuspecting protester. They are sneaky and constantly on the hunt for more new members and if they have to hide the truth somewhat to help their organization grow, they will.
We are in the midst of the information age and it's not very hard to get your hands on a computer or newspaper to do some detective work investigating organizations. If you can't use a computer, then I suggest you go to your local library for help and if you can't read a newspaper, then go to your local library and have a librarian take pity on you.
I guarantee that you can keep yourself from looking stupid if you do the work, otherwise, stupid is as stupid does!
