"As far as evidence linking Iraq with terrorist activity, somehow I doubt that you've got insider info from NSA, CIA or the Pentagon. What you know and don't know is irrelevant, after all: "In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies." "

This can't be said ENOUGH, IMO. Everytime one of the dipwad Hollywood freaks mouth off, I think the same thing. How these people get thru the day without "help" is amazing.

I prefer he save his fire for the actual waging of war. His energy has to be meted out carefully.

Yes.

From what I heard, unless somebody asks him for it point blank, it will never see the light of day.

I believe that. Is there any plan to ask him for it? Or, maybe the plan is to see if he puts it out, see if France, Germany, Russia, etc. vote for more time, and the US says "we respect your decision, and ask that you respect ours, to withdraw from the UN."

I heard a Swedish official on FNC this afternoon who used to work with Blix, and what he said was astounding. He said Blix is the WRONG MAN FOR THE JOB!! He said Blix is a nice man but what we needed in Iraq was a David Kay type who will not take "No" for an answer. He said Blix was just as nice to Saddam as he is to anyone.

Great interview. He also said Blix has many failures in his resume.

Do you guys know that Blix has a 160 page "report" he's NOT giving the UN tomorrow?

You mean the one with the details on the tons of anthrax and VX that Blix is certain Saddam still has?

Yes, I know about it. And Jack Straw and Colin Powell are doing their best to force him to present that report tomorrow instead of the vanilla-flavored one he was planning.

I wonder how many spies we have on his staff? Heh-heh...

We will probably have to deal with North Korea in terms of megatons which is what we should have done in the last Korean war versus trading American military lives led by a military controlled by liberals in DC.

Let's up the ante, build up our technology (now that slick can't sell it) and build up our defenses to the point that nobody wants to even think about screwing with us.

I pray for GWB and his advisors every day, and thank God that the adults are in charge now.

This was the most tenderhearted and masterful Presidental press conference that I can ever remember.

Hey! People don't always have the luxury of being absolutely consistent, without making some distinctions in the real world, expecially when it's stupid to do so... get a grip and quit being so defensive. I know everyone is after your differential for your comments, but this is an emotionally charged moment in history... so maintain your cool without being overly simplistic.

We're in a poker game where you don't call everybody out at once!!!

I will. Haven't had occasion to be in OKC area, but have been in various parts of TX (Houston, Waco, DFW) and Nevada (Reno, LV), and sometimes California. But flying is a real drag . . . it used to be fun, but it is not fun now.

The "Islamic fundamentalist" angle to all of these attacks has been nothing more than a front.

I don't think it's a front .. but the rest that you mention, it would not suprise me if it's true

Face it, there are things that President Bush knows that he cannot share with us for what ever reason .. but I do believe in my heart he is trying to do everything he can to stop it

"...it's time to show your cards."

Ah, a George W. Bush and a poker metaphor. I remember way way back, before anyone thought Bush had a chance at the presidency I used to say here "never play poker with him". You will lose. But you will still like him after he takes your wallet. He will leave you smiling then you will come back again only to be beat again.

Over the years Bush has outplayed so many people. Ann Richards, the Dems., the media, Gore, Lieberman, etc. etc. Gosh, I remember when he outplayed people so well the best they could do was call him "stupid". As if all "W's" luck was dumb luck.

Want to know what I saw tonight? As a Texan that has watched Bush for many years? I saw a man that is several "hands" ahead, who stopped the very serious "game" for a second to talk to people that can't see the "game", and could never play it. But what can you expect from "reporters", they can't figure out their own job much less the presidents.

"W" was born for this game. But dammit, I wish he and Laura and all these rest of us never saw these cards dealt. George W. Bush was not supposed to be here. Not in this time, doing what he is doing. Playing this poker hand for us all. It should have been different. Maybe he just could have brought respect and dignity back to the White House. Things like that. Less serious stuff. But he has this hand to play instead.

Imagine Clinton playing this card game for us. No thanks. Or Al Gore. I'll pass. Or anyone here posting tonight? Sorry, I'll let Cool Hand George run this game. Why? Look over his shoulder. See back there behind him? His past? He has not lost a game yet. And he won't lose this one.

I am not believing what I am seeing ... Alan Colmes saying to Al Sharpton, Rev., as a man of God, do you believe that Bush is right in going in to Iraq? Now I have seen everything.

Blix does not seem too bright. He is too enthralled with all this attention to be legit.

David Kay was just on Scarborough's new show and he gave a detailed analysis of the weapons that Saddam has. He was outstanding especially when he said that Blix had a hidden agenda and did not want war

I think strong societies need to be cognizant of reality.

Strong societies do not elect a jackass from Arkansas with a disco haircut and a personality disorder to be their leader.

The depth of U.S. incompetence in this matter is beyond the comprehension of most people. And if the government of this country lets the facts out, it will never be able to expect its citizens to go through life with a straight face as long as that jackass from Arkansas is a free man.

"I've started connecting some dots here over the last few days"

Welcome to the club as a rather large group here have been relentlessly at this since shortly after this site opened. I used to have an OKC Ping List, but I've misplaced it... Dang!!!
