I wonder if Jimmy Carter would let us count any of this in determining violence must be proportional to the injury we have suffered.

personally, I feel this is a propoganda testimony. This Dr is paid and affiliated with the Iraqi Opposition. Anything he writes, I would discount as a lie.

No, I am not anti-war nor Pro-Iraq. I am against attacking Iraq now, when we should be dealing with NKorea first as they are the direct and immediate threat. Though, I do understand the admin wnting to remove a thorn in their side for their full focus on the NKorea.

BTW- I also do believe this is all about oil contracts and business deals for the US, and not about "the evil Hussein". Just my opinion, just that the Admin has not sold me on their reasons.

I saw four Iraqi women testifying before Congress on the necessity of America taking Sadam out now. Did anyone see this? Was it broadcast on C-SPAN? I saw it on a news report on FOX, I think. Pretty compelling stuff. I wish I had more to go on, I'd like to have seen the whole thing, or at least read an article on it in the paper.

...violence must be proportional to the injury we have suffered.

Carter is, of course a worthless idiot.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were proportional to Pearl Harbor, and I haven't heard about any Japanese Zeroes bothering people in Hawaii lately.

Everything we have done so far and everything we will do in Iraq will not meet the required tally for 9-11. There is much yet to do.

Remember we went full tilt into Bosnia because of this stuff, with the blessings of the anti-war crowd.

Here are my toughts on the subject.

Let me just say first off that neither President Bush or I want to see us go to war anymore than anyone else does. But, the fact remains that while X42 squandered away his survillence resources going after his political enemies, Saddam took advantage and built up more WMD's. As such he does indeed pose a National Security risk to this country and as a result we really don't have much choice.

The only other option left could very well be mushroom cloud erupting over a part of this country. Is this what all you Saddam appeasers want?

And another thing. For those who are continuing to choose live in a state of denial about the human rights violations by Saddam. My question to you is are you just choosing to carry on this attitude because this is the kind of person you want runing this country? I can tell you that we had someone like Saddam or Mugabe in the White House right now, this nation would end up being a third world country.

You may think it's cool for Saddam or Mugabe or their kind to go and punish their politcal opponents this way but I don't. I don't have any use whatsoever for people of this kind and I can assure you I for one WILL NOT cooperate or accept the authority of any such person like this. I don't care if it makes me a troublemaker or a pariah or what. I just will not submit to any such authority.

I think it's time for our president to do the same thing and get on with this war and SCREW the U.N.!!!!! As far as I'm concerned their authority means diddily squat and they are proving it so.
LET'S ROLL!!!!!!!

1000:1 is a proportion, isn't it?

Last night, the History Channel had a special " Why Can't We Kill Saddam? "-which was very enlightening. Saddam has been a maniacal murderer, since he was a child. They had archival footage of Saddam in action, smilingly having his political enemies dragged out of meetings and shot. The testimony of CIA agents,Iraqis who have survived his torture,Gulf War soldiers who were captured and even that of the man who designed one of the chambers, was gruesome. How any Hollywood celeb,Democrat or women's org could support this demon,in light of his unspeakable brutality towards women and children, is beyond reason. An interesting side note-Clinton had a chance to get Saddam,in 1995-the Kurds and many Iraqi generals were planning a military coup and via CIA operatives, asked Clinton for some logistical and financial support-not a military invasion.Clinton refused, after much pleading by the CIA operatives on the ground and it turned into a Bay of Pigs, when the generals starting fleeing over the border.Clinton then had the 6 CIA agents investigated and was going to have them brought up on charges of trying to overthrow Saddam.A cooler head dropped the charges and in fact, the agents received commendations. The CIA Field Officer,Bob Baer resigned and is on tv a lot,as an analyst. The rest of the team is still operating.
