NEW YORK (AP) Chelsea Clinton will start a six-figure consulting job after she receives a master's degree from Oxford University later this year, Newsweek magazine reports on its Web site.
The daughter of former President Clinton will work in the New York office of London-based McKinsey & Company, newsweek.com reported Friday.
Clinton, 23, accepted the position Friday after she reportedly turned down McKinsey's offer of $100,000 a year to work at its London headquarters, according to the Web site.
A spokesman for McKinsey did not immediately return a call for comment Saturday, nor did Bill Clinton's office.
Clinton, who is studying international relations at Oxford, will be one of 5,000 McKinsey consultants worldwide who research topics ranging from health care to corporate finance.

The daughter of former President ClintonOh, stop lying AP.
It doesn't matter. I believe in karma. She'll get hers someday, somehow. That is, if God doesn't think a lifetime of being addressed as "Woof! Woof!" isn't enough.

This company is paying for her last name since there are people out there who will willingly pay to listen to a Klinton, even though I would'nt hire her for anything.

She graduated from college in record time, aye?

We all expected her to start in an entry level position. < /

Exactly.
McKinsey and Company
And BTW: What happened to her being a doctor or a lawyer , or her political interest?
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
I DEMAND to see her first income tax return! and IF she actually pays any taxes, I would LOVE to have a tape recorder around when she sees the tax rate...
Is she going to be in a State Income Tax area also?
Then there's county tax, city tax, local tax, ad nauseum.

Seriously. Who would pay money to listen to this know- nothing moron? My guess is that a few ideological companies and maybe some liberal circles, like Hollywood. Remember she's the one who wrote in an article that her first reaction to 911 was (paraphrase) "The Bush Tax Cut Plan is going to kill us". Yeah, put her on your payroll at your own risk.

Clinton, who is studying international relations at Oxford, will be one of 5,000 McKinsey consultants worldwide who research topics ranging from health care to corporate finane If I was paying big money for a consultant I would hope the consulting firm would send me somebody other than a recent college graduate with no work experience.

He, Alll.....they are not really hiring Chelsea...they are paying "protection" money to her parents.....it's sad, isn't it, especially since it seems she will follow in her parents BS footsteps....well, at least she hasn't YET become a lawyer. Just what, however, did she GET her degree(s) in....does anyone know?

Chelsea spent enough time on campus at Oxford to earn a degree? Or do they grant "distance degrees" for "remote studies" like Stanford?
And a six-figure salary to boot. Does she have to phone in the job, or is the occasional photo op sufficient?
To: Dont Mention the War

I want to know what this woman did to earn that kind of salary.
Oy, I forgot, she's a Clinton.

I can't think of a single company I know of...that would pay a 23 year old $100k a year unless they were computer engineers...which she is not. But on the other side of the coin...we can look at past presidents from both sides of politics and their kids got similiar deals.

A new phrase--"Hubble-ugly."
To: Dr. Luv
Let's determine if we find anyone else this unattractive & unappealing & just out of instituions of lower learning receiving $1000,000 salaries. So I will be her worst critic. Let's not forget her trashing of America when she was with her mother in Africa. Who her parents are is a determinate.

Wow. Some of you guys really don't know the job market. $100,000.00 for a starting job at McKinsey is pretty standard, particularly in the New York market. Starting lawyers in New York, who are generally 27-30 years of age, routinely receive salaries of up to $130,000.00 from the larger firms, and have for several years now. Listen, I despise the Klintons as much as the next fellow, but it's the free market.

Good luck.
As a 20-year veteran of the corporate world, many management consultants are very young and have little or no experience.
$100,000 a year for starting at McKinsey is actually quite low. Then again, her degree normally would not meet their qualifications (you need an MBA or Doctorate). This firm, which once was considered far and away the most prestigious in the world, has slipped back to the pack even before this hire -- see the recent article in the Economist.
At least her mother had a law degree and experience when she was bumped to partner. Chelsea has neither the right degree nor any experience. It is a very foolish hire for McKinsey, IMHO -- this will not impress the CEOs out there who are paying fortunes for advice.

That would be a reference to the $1,000,000 the Bubba will receive for EACH 45 minute segment from CBS with Bob Dole... It is only a Democrat Campaign donation to get around the news rules. And clinton gets to take some public jabs at the current administration in his sleazy destroy-tradition way. All in all, a real "win" for the rats. Their immorality is detestable.
To: TaRaRaBoomDeAyGoreLostToday!
Chelsa Clinton should lay off the cosmetics. Make up is to enhance or bring out your beauty. In her case, it just emphasizes her unattractiveness. She should wear less make up to downplay her not so attractive features. Quite honestly, she looks like a transvestite when she wears make up.

Oh hell, if they're stupid enough to hire her for 100 large right out of school (where she probably hardly ever cracked a book; royalty, donchaknow), then more power to 'er.
Oh........and remind me never to hire this consulting firm. I think I just got a good look at their "judgment" and find it severely wanting.

A brief search of Google immediately finds Clinton era criminal activity linked to McKinsey and Co. The stench of endless democrat corruption is overwhelming.
(from Reuters, 4/5/02)

Looks like she's had plastic surgery.
I don't want to be unkind, but Chelsea's highest income potential is scaring little kids on Halloween.
