In response to recent emails from our servicemen and women presently deployed in various locations overseas. The Columbus Washboard Company is proud to be sending shipments of laundry supplies to help our troops as they strive to fulfill the tasks before them. God Bless all of them!

I heard about this company a couple of weeks ago. I thought it would be a good idea to share with Freepers. This local company actually produces washboards. I didn't think there would be a big market for them, but according to them they sell about 35,000 washboards per year.
The company will send washboards and other laundry supplies to troops by specific request. Also, they are taking donations on their website to help offset the cost of the merchandise and shipping.

Well you can have one. They're a legitimate business. Just send some legitimate money and they'll send you a real live washboard.

Are they selling the ones in the picture? With the flag? I need to ask them. I'm not looking for one for free, just one like that.

I don't know if they're are selling the boards with the flag. I do know that they boards they send to Kuwait have the flag on them. They are also stamped "made in the USA." I heard that much on the radio this morning.

Looks like they're available according to their Online catalog.. They're called American Pride and come in different sizes.
