Yoko Ono paid $42,000 for a full-page ad in today's Chronicle, because "it is a pretty urgent message," she said by e-mail Tuesday. "It is my contribution to the community."

The San Francisco version of Ono's message is "Imagine Peace Spring 2003." Ono has taken out identical or similar ads making brief statements in last week's Los Angeles Times, the L.A. Weekly and the Village Voice, and another will appear in the Washington Post this weekend.

Some contribution. Think of all the pizza and pepsi's the troops in the front lines could enjoy for $42,000. That a**hole.

All Mzzz. OH-NO! would have to do is look at the Iraqi troops. Barfing uncontrolably, they would surrender. Heck, maybe even Saddam would too if he caught a glimpse.

One of my favorite chuckles was seeing a Beatles bumper sticker in a car window and beneath it was a sticker that said "still pissed at Yoko". I'd love to have one but haven't found them anywhere.

We were imagining peace, Yoko.

Then 4 planes were hijacked, 2 flew into the Twin Towers, 1 into the Pentagon (charged with keeping you protected), and 1 flew into a field in Pennsylvania. And they will try again.

Yoko, if you truly believe in Peace, why aren't you protesting Hussein, who kills women and children with chemical attacks, who has his men rape and murder the families of his foes, who spends millions building palaces instead of feeding his people.

Why, Yoko?

Why?

A few years ago, Yoko Ono ripped a Bible apart during one of her concerts. She later apologized to her fans for doing so.

Jay Leno described this event in his monologue a short time later. He concluded by saying "Ladies and gentleman, I found this story very shocking...Yoko Ono has fans?"

I guess we could start a contest:

Which washed-up, no-talent, ex-wife of famous rock star is the biggest anti-War troll: Yoko Ono vs. Bianca Jagger ???

You make the call.
