I know that this column is a couple of months old, but I don't think it got posted here. This piece was not bylined, so I assume it reflects the opionions of what passes for an editorial staff of this e-zine.
Folks, have at it. What can I say. This column is an embarrassment of riches.

And this columnist calls CONDI a 'race hater'? There's nothing one can really say about the sheer stupidity of people like this writer.

If we cannot be moved to revulsion by brazen acts of treason, then we cannot hope to exercise the power of a coherent political force. Condoleezza Rice is the purest expression of the race traitor. I assume here that the acts of trason are references to Clinton.
The reason they see her as a "race traitor" is that she (as well as Bush) doesn't "see" race.
She is driven by goals and accomplishments, something that they will never understand.

These people are agenda racists (see Harry Belafonte)...they are racists with agenda's and if you don't fit their agenda to a "T" you are a racists, doesn't matter what color you are.
The fact that Ms. Rice has ascended to heights not known by any black American female means nothing...just their agenda!

I love it when the Anti-American Liberal Left (The Klan with a Tan) uses "traitor" in an opinion piece.

In the old days, Condi Rice would have told them to select one of three options:
1. Present proof of your allegations
2. Apologize immediately
3. Name your second

There was some talk, after the last Presidential election, that this country was too deeply divided to ever form a cohesive union. Writers like this tend to support this premise. What can you say to someone who views things from such a different perspective? Why even bother?

Folks, have at it. What can I say. This column is an embarrassment of riches. You got that right. We're never going to reach people like this. They have so much invested in being a "victim" that to consider anything else would problably make their head explode.
Condi Rice a "race traitor"? She probably says more intelligent things by mistake in one day than this guy will trying in his entire life.

Naw, I got a feeling that after reading this tripe, she'd just challenge the author to a duel in th manner of Larry Niven's Kzinti: scream and leap.

Beginning in earnest less than a decade ago, and at the urging of Right think-tankers bent on maintaining white domination, the Republican Party adopted a strategy of selective, high profile minority appointments. Note the contrast to the Democratic Party's not-so-selective, not-so-high profile minority appointments: Rodney Slater, Togo West, Mike Espy, Ron Brown, Joycelyn Elders. Bagmen, cronies, nonentities all of them. Contrast this bunch to Rice and Powell and Rod Paige, and they come up very small.

I will be changing my voter registration to Democrat in 2004. My state does not have open primaries so you have to be registered in the party. I will vote for Al Sharpton in the Democraptic primary.
Imagine Al at least getting enough votes to land a prime-time national TV (all the liberal networks) speaking spot on Friday night at the Demomaniacs National Convention. Can it get any better?
Im sending a couple bucks to his campaign, Im voting for him, and I hope to plant a yard sign out by the road. Think of it
lapel buttons, tracts for windshields in the parking lot, posters, etc.. Heck, maybe I could be his county coordinator.
This is going to be fun! The ultimate Freep. Will you join me?

Personally, I'm honored when some idiot calls me a race-traitor.
What is positively astounding is the similarity of rhetoric between the black nationalist/NAACP crowd and the National Socialist White People's Party or the Christian Identity Movement. If you'll recall that squalid work of racist fiction, The Turner Diaries, words such as "race traitor" or "defiling the race" were used with abandon.
You will see this kind of thing increase among black "leaders" as more and more blacks opt for the Republican Party. Years ago, I predicted that black conservatives, especially Condoleezza Rice, would be perceived as dangerous to the existing leadership class. Others, such as GraniteStateConservative, thought this as well.
Add to this fact is another pressure building on the black leadership class: Latino immigration. The news that black Americans had slipped to "number 3" on the minority list, behind Hispanics, came as a shock to the black community. More and more black "leaders" are starting to wake up to the possibilities of losing patronage dollars to an active Hispanic lobby. This is a development that is welling up in Black America, and only exacerbates the crisis within the black leadership class.
When Condi makes her big political move, that is when the crisis will break out in the open.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
