Here's another country radio station site with an online poll:

http://www.wmzq.com/

Currently 64% have the "right answer" with another 14% who wouldn't buy their tickets anyway.

I hope this ruins them. And that people stop going to their concerts! Hit them in the "pocketbook!"

Unfortunately, this won't happen. This only a temporary reaction. The public's ire lasts about 60 days before the onset of amnesia.

Thanks, I say hit them all. I've emailed Lipton and CMT. They need to know that us "trailer trash rednecks" as some of the commielibs on their boards call us have a wallet and a voice too.

Vichy Chick's kickoff of their American tour is May 1, Greenville SC (Bi-Lo, I think).

Oh I thik she wrote it too. I laughed when I read she's selling her SUV. This was one point of hypocrisy many of her fans pointed out. Yet, she still sells her song to Jeep, rides motorcross dirt bikes off road, and promotes NASCAR. How are any of those environmentally friendly (according to her definition of being environmentally responsible).

Children attending KRMD-FM's ''Dixie Chicks Destruction'' stomp on compact discs by the Grammy Award-winning group the Dixie Chicks, after the discs were run over by a tractor yesterday in Bossier City, La. The station pulled the band from its playlist after singer Natalie Maines told a London audience Monday, ''Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.''

What I don't understand is how short people's memories are. Remember it was just a few years ago that these Dixie Chicks were spitting their venom at President Bush when they refused to play at his inauguration. Dubya liked the chicks (Lord knows why) and would of liked to have have they pansy arses of played for him (what an honor). But they were rude in how they told him no. It is one thing to say no, it is another to be rude in the way you do it. Seems they have had it in for the President every since, it follows party lines what they said overseas. Anything they can to tear Him down is what they will attempt.

This is not the first time anyway that these Unliked in Dixie Pricks have done this. If we let them off the hook this time, there will be another time to deal with them, just like Iraq.

Prediction: look for CRITICAL acclaim now. After Steve Earle wrote some sort of paean to John Walker Lindh, his name started popping up on "greatest artists of all time" lists. Prior to that he was just another loser junkie riding around in a bus 300 days a year.

That'll be the mainstream media's reaction. I expect Rolling Stone and all other music media critics to suddenly find Dixie Chicks to be on par with other leftie loser/heroes like John Lennon, etc.

The next Grammy awards are in about 11 months? Fearless prediction: the Dixie Chicks win 11 awards. (Ok, maybe just 7.)

Dixie Chicks Boycott Starts
Controversial Comment Starts Phones Ringing"I think you should boycott them," said a caller to Cat Country 106.7

A poll taken by Cat Country said nearly 75 percent of its listeners were offended by Maines' remark.

Even though the Dixie Chicks have the No. 1 song and album in the country right now, many patriotic people in the Susquehanna Valley don't want to hear them.

"Central Pennsylvania is one of the largest areas for deployment in this country and there's a lot of military families out there who feel very strong for President Bush, and for her to come out and bash President Bush and say that she's embarrassed that he lives in Texas, it really hit some hot buttons with a lot of our listeners," said Dennis Mitchell, with Cat Country.

The station labeled Friday, "Dixie Chick Free Friday," and it is leaving it up to the listeners to decide how long that will last.

"NPR has been playing Steve Earle for some time now."

Isn't he the one who supports Jonnny Taliban?
Why does this not surprise me?

I wrote to lipton about cancelling the sponsorship of the ditzy chicks world tour. Here is the letter I wrote

This is in responce to the dixie chicks commnets made while they were in a foriegn country. I see on your site that you are sponsoring the concerts and make it possible for them to go to a foriegn nation to protest our president and the upcoming war. I have friends as well as family in the gulf right now waiting to go to war. When the bullets start flying and the bodies start hitting the floor it very well maybe a direct family member of mine that is killed or a close personal friend.

So i will no longer be purchasing any of your products until you pull your sponsorship of the dixie chicks and im not kidding if I haveto go the rest of my life never buying a lipton product or a unilever product that is fine with me when I hear that you canceled all financial support of the dixie chicks i will start buying lipton tea again until then Luzianne Tea is fine with me

This is the responce i got back yesterday

Dear:

Thanks so much for writing!

We are writing in response to your comments regarding our sponsorship of the Dixie Chicks, "Top of the World Tour".  We certainly apologize and are grateful you have chosen to share your thoughts.

As a manufacturer we feel it is a major responsibility to provide our friends and consumers with the most creative and entertaining means of sponsorship possible.

We have a long history of presenting "tasteful" advertising, promotional, and sponsorship efforts to the public. We certainly do not wish to offend anyone. In developing our promotional efforts, Unilever and its agencies may not always anticipate all possible implications of a specific campaign.

We will certainly forward your comments to the Marketing staff.   Consumer comments are very important and evaluated on a regular basis.

We do thank you for your interest!

Your friends at Unilever Bestfoods North America

If you think it will do any good after seeing thier responce you can write to them at

These entertainers have lost touch with reality and they start believing that they have been placed on this earth for some "divine purpose" and that their success in the entertainment world is merely giving them the opportunity to use their fame and fortune to "make the world a better place." This is the classic "Bono" syndrome....

Well said! I say we retain the phrase Bono Syndrome for future use.
