Camp Patriot, Kuwait (Mar. 15, 2003) -- Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Donald Weber, a recalled reservist from Dubuque, Iowa, prepares to pull the pin on a concussion grenade he will drop in the waters of the North Arabian Gulf. The exercise is a part of his grenadier certification process. In a joint training exercise with the U.S. Coast Guard, Petty Officer Weber and other Sailors assigned to Inshore Boat Unit One Three (IBU-13) completed grenadier certification recently in preparation for future operations in the Central Command Area of Responsibility.
