Jay Severin in Boston just played a Madelne Albright sound bite, wherein she makes the statement that "the US cannot exist without the UN."

I am trying to find a transcript of that quote, but have no more information than the fact that I heard her say it with my own ears on the Severin show.

Has anyone else heard this? If you can provide a transcript or a source, I'd be grateful.

Right! Try this on. A company (or Country) hires (hides behind) consultants (the U.N.) so when things go right, they can take the credit, but if things go wrong, they blame the consultants (U.N.)

That ugly bitch either has a short memory, she's delusional, or she's lying through her teeth. Because it was the Clinton Administration -- the same Administration for which she worked as Secretary of State --that didn't get approval from the UN in order to send cruise missiles into Sudan and Iraq, didn't get approval from the UN to launch our invasion of Kosovo, and didn't get approval from the UN to blockade Haiti.

We need the UN like we need a hole in our heads. It's time to divest ourselves of this worthless, bloated bureaucracy whose sole purpose is to thwart American power and the spread of democracy.
