Thanks!!! I love these threads--you do a great job with them. That photo of the U.S. soldier giving water to the Iraqi soldier is something else. It just burns me that there are so many people in the world who think Americans are awful.

Will images like this ever appear on Arabic TV? I seriously doubt it...Probably with a caption "Infidels give water torture to brave Iraqi defender."

They might. But the explaination will be that US troops are forcing him to drink their urine or something like that.

Even more important - will this image ever appear on American TV? I doubt it - they are more interested in showing pictures of anti-American "protests".
This picture of US personnel giving aid to a surrendered Iraqi soldier is, IMHO, one of the best, most important pictures ever to come out of an American campaign. I believe it should be flashed to all US media outlets, asking them, no demanding, to show it. It demonstrates everything America stands for and literally brings me to choke up and tears.
I cannot get over the selflessness of our US personnel who, while they no doubt are trained to and have to kill, also have in their hearts a true consideration for life and its sanctity. May God bless them and keep them safe.

Awesome! Thank all of you for posting the pictures.

Incredible! Compassion to enemy soldiers and civilians.
The French wouldn't even give the US soldiers water.

Got to admit, we're doing this the smart way! How can that be? I thought GW was an idiot, Powell was a lackey, and Rumsfeld was nuts? < /sarcasm>
