I checked to see if anyone had posted this yet and couldn't find it. Did anyone, besides me, see Dan Rather yesterday afternoon "go to Jim Axelrod" only to have the caller say "Bababooie you idiot"? Dan managed to keep his cool and said that they were having technical problems.

You've missed nothing. It's something that Radio-putz Howard Stern's followers do during breaking news - they pretend to be someone who knows something and get on the air & use the radio-putz's name & that 'bababooie' word.

I s'pose Dan Blather can't get enough face-time in front of the camera.

If Dan caught it, maybe he's getting sharper. Every other time he's had to have someone else explain it to him *after* the caller has already revealed himself.

I think Stuttering John is a far more serious journalist than Dan the Dipweed.

His real name is Gary DelAbate. He is a producer for the Howard Stern show. He has big teeth and gums. The name comes from a long time ago when he bought a cartoon slide of the character Baba Louie. He mis-pronounced it Bababooie. The name stuck.

Ever listen to his show? He is as pro-Bush as any FReeper. He has some elements of the show that are hilariously funny. I still think fart jokes are funny. Some dont. Some elements are slimy. To each his own. I listen to Rush everyday, too. He has a different style, both are funny.
