I think we should be honest with ourselves and accept that the Democrat party and their stalwarts give their allegiance to transnational 'progressive' socialism and not to the United States. Asking for their support is like Charlie Brown asking Lucy to hold the football for him.

I guess my thoughts on your main theme here are that it is fruitless to expect anything constructive or good out of the Democratic Party.

Certainly we may pick up partial support at times from individual Dems who are intelligent enough to realize that their Party has gone very far down the path of irrelevency; but as a group, they can't be trusted or relied upon a bit.

I do appreciate the invite but am not versed as fully in this issue as others in this forum. I am enjoying everyone else's commentary, however, and have learned much tonight.
