[history]
This is terrible and barbaric news, but not unexpected. Pray for these fallen, whoever they may be.
March 30, 2003 -- At least one of the bodies of the four American soldiers discovered in a shallow grave was "brutalized and mutilated," Pentagon sources revealed yesterday. The corpses were unearthed in the vicinity of the "hospital" at Nasiriyah where U.S. Marines found evidence that the Iraqis had operated a torture chamber.

Marine Pfc. Tamario D. Burkett, 21, Buffalo, N.Y. If this is a Hispanic first name, it'd be Tamaria, not Tamario. The "a" ending is female. The "o" ending is male.

"For some reason, you want to change your tactics to personal attacks on me. Now I know your irrelavancy." If the reason I'd counter attack still baffles you, I'm sure you know of irrelevancy intimately.

True, but I wasn't thinking of it as hispanic. I guess it could be. There is no indication of that based on the last name though. I suppose the same would be true if it were Italian. It just looked feminine at first glance.

I think the same rules apply to Italian names. I'm just more familiar with Spanish names. The "o" ending for male, the "a" ending for female: Mario and Maria, for example.

Right. That was my point. Just wasn't thinking about it at the time I first brought it up.

Nice, no wonder you're here Sunday morning instead out with friends.Excuse me, and you're reason for being here, instead of being with YOUR "friends," would be....Opps, never mind.

I read in another site that Lynch was driving the truck and she may have been killed outright when attacked to stop the truck. I am ashamed to feel relief upon hearing this prospect.

I am ashamed to feel relief upon hearing this prospect.
I don't think there's any shame in wishing someone the most mericful death possible when death is a certainty.
To: FYI
it has been almost 30 years since i examined a Navy field hospital's mount out gear but the last time i looked there were several pieces of equipment in there that required 12 volts to operate. for instance, a 12 volt jeep headlight was a standard item. it would be used as an operating light where 110v electricity was not available.
my hope is that this battery was used for a valid purpose and not to torture our people.

" Excuse me, and you're reason for being here, instead of being with YOUR "friends," would be....Opps, never mind." Perhaps. Maybe if I suffered moronic attacks more passively I'd be feeding my 5 mo old a friend's house instead of at the computer.

It sounds like my Mom's home town--although they do have a stop sign.
We were through Cedar Keys a few years ago. It felt like one of those places we that would feel comfortable--and now that I know the whole town is gathering together over this horrendous loss and supporting his family unstintingly, I now know I was right.

I was in Cedar Key yesterday, and I saw the flags and flowers they had put around the war monument in honor of Brian, as well handwritten signs honoring him that people had put on the doors and windows of their shops.

You're right! They're beasts from h*ll. I don't understand these "people" and I don't think I want to.
To: cowgirlcutie
Nor do I want to publically contemplate what went on in that room. Their families are tormenting themselves enough the way it is. It's why we come together and protect our own, try to shield them--and what divides us from them.

I would've been hard put not to get a huge lump in my throat and a few tears over their support for his family.

Inside the hospital, the shocked Marines found bloodied pieces of an American female soldier's uniform. Her name badge and American flag were missing.

HEY YOU FATF*UCK PAIL OF SHIT!!
WHY DON'T YOU MAKE A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THIS?!!
HORROR SCENE: A car battery adjacent to a metal bed frame is evidence of Iraqi torturers' work.
It's Not Just A Gun...It's My "HOMELAND DEFENSE RIFLE"!!
To: Catspaw
I agree totally with you. It's hard enough to think about the mental anguish that their poor families' are going through right now. Our troops and their families need our support and prayer everyday.
