Despite his legitimate (as far as I know) 'war hero' status, he repeatedly makes a public fool out of himself by putting down the current war plan, yadda, yadda, yadda. Might be some personal vendetta thing we aren't aware of but, you'd think he'd get a clue as to how that comes across to those of us not in-the-know. In fact, I think he has been reduced to CNN only now.

I just looked at Gen. McCaffery's bio and I see that he went to Prep School at Andover, just like George W. Bush. They are about the same age. I wonder if McCaffrey's animosity could have started there?

Can you imagine having your entire military career dependent on not displeasing Gen. McCaffery or Gen. Clark? What a horrible thought but, no doubt, many had to live like that for years.
