On that sonar sweep, I am not sure if San Mateo County Sheriffs scanned that section of the bay where the bodies washed up...

Have a feeling that if the weather a few weeks ago didn't go bad, MPD was right there....

Laci Peterson search back in Bay
By John Simerman and Karl Fischer
CONTRA COSTA TIMES

RICHMOND - Modesto police have returned to East Bay waters in their search for Laci Peterson, working Wednesday off Point Richmond with sonar equipment and a remote-control underwater vehicle.

Modesto police Sgt. Ron Cloward said the hunt along the Richmond shoreline has been going, on and off, for weeks.

...Tuolumne County sheriff's deputies equipped with three boats and a water-trained dog also helped in the search near Miller Knox Regional Shoreline.

They combed that area for weeks. Was information relating to this area found on his computer, or a possible tip? Did SP launch his boat, losing his launch wheels, from a quiet beach near Miller Knox? Did he purchase a launch ticket at Berkeley Pier to establish his fishing alibi?
