Fullerton suspends four police officers (cops farted in victim's face)

Four Fullerton police officers have received suspensions in a case in which two of them were reputed to have humiliated a woman they had been called to help and who they thought was unconscious, Chief Pat McKinley said Friday.

The disclosure came after parts of a confidential memo sent by McKinley to the City Council were made public.

I say fire them, start over fresh.

For that kind of taxpayer money (sixty six thousand, five hundred and sixty dollars a year, straight pay on a 40 hour week.. That's before the overtime pay.. ) I would expect a bit more professionalism than sniffing, licking and farting on unconcious female suspects.

I laugh plenty, but I outgrew fart jokes, oh, about 20 years ago. And police abuse is not my idea of joke fodder.
But silly me, I don't find Howard Stern a laugh riot either.

I think it's absolutely disgusting and they don't deserve to have the power cops have. I can see getting them a job that doesn't deal with the public---such as working on the graveyard shift of animal control.

Some people's farts stink a lot worse than others. I think there should be some felonious farts and others just misdemeanors (class 1,2 and 3). The evidence is pretty fleeting on the lesser farts. I see some evidentiary problems right from the getgo.
But then there are those that violate the Geneva Convention. Any good detective with his fart detector kit should be able to find credible evidence for hours after one of those.
All seriousness aside, though, I damn sure wouldn't want to be on that disciplinary panel.
In the final analysis, if that cop were trying to find a substitute for smelling salts, he should be given an 'A' for A-fart.
