Troop Prayer Thread 5

Welcome to the Troop Prayer Thread! We gather here together in the belief that "whereever two or more are gathered in my name, there am I," and that by the grace of God, group prayer effort can be a great force for good in the world.

We are listing here members of the active armed services known to us for whom we want to pray. We have been keeping track of the Captured/MIAs here for prayer purposes. By God's grace, our and the world's prayers have been answered regarding the return of our POWs! We continue to hold vigil for those who are still in harm's way. Because stable government in Iraq and Afghanistan is a condition which reduces the risk of attack on our nation and her allies, and it thereby reduces the risk to our troops, we will also be holding vigil on this thread for the Victory War. In other words, we will be praying that the Victory won with the blood and sacrifice of our precious troops will not be lost by diplomatic or unwise negotiations. At all times we will be praying for only God's Will and Plan to be made manifest in Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East region, and throughout the world.

If you would like to submit someone for our list, you are welcome to do so at any time. Post their name or pseudonym here on the thread or freepmail amom or myself. If we have made any errors, OR IF THE STATUS OF YOUR TROOPER HAS CHANGED please let us know so that we may correct the list. When your trooper returns home, let us know so that we may rejoice with you! We will be making periodic updates. If you want to be added or removed from the ping list please let amom or me know by freepmail.

We invite everyone, active Freepers and Lurkers alike to join our circle in prayer for these fine men and women who have volunteered to place their lives on the line for the defense of our nation and for the liberation of the oppressed peoples of other nations. To them we send our greatest respect and gratitude. We send them our prayers and good thoughts. We ask for God's blessing upon them and their families.

For those of us who have somewhat limited computer capacity, we request that graphics be limited to pictures of loved ones for whom we are offering prayers, special visuals that seem particularly appropriate, and as much as possible, non-moving graphics. Thank you.

The following American serviceman was listed HERE as missing during Operation Iraqi Freedom as of 6 p.m. EDT Thursday:

Army Sgt. Edward J. Anguiano, 24, of Brownsville, Texas. Missing after his convoy was ambushed in Iraq. Assigned to the 3rd Combat Support Battalion, Fort Stewart, Ga.

So many! Lord, let them be found, let those who wait for them get news of their loved ones. Father nothing is hidden from You, bring them back. Have mercy, let You hand be moved in love to console, to strenghten, to deliver and to restore. In Jesus name, I ask hope to sustain them through this and faith that once this is over they will stand before You offering sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. To Your name that is upon them give glory!

While you didnt address me in your comments, I feel moved to reply. It gives me joy that this thread has given you some measure of comfort while you are separated from your sweet husband. God is truly blessing us all on this thread as we have been gathering together in prayer for our troops. Thank you for participating in our circle and letting us try to support you during your challenges of separation. You have expressed gratitude to us....but truly the gratitude is ours for sacrificing your personal lives and goals and time for our nation during this time of danger and critical need for our armed forces to act. May God bless you and all who are in a similar situation of being 'left behind.'
