Another tornado moving into Oklahoma City

Storm spotters report a large tornado approaching Oklahoma City. This just happened yesterday. God be with those people.

Tornado has been on and off the ground for several hours. Channel 9 was very near the path.

We have had NOTHING here. Tornado watches every night but not a drop of rain. Normally the tornados roar thru here.

Then you're lucky, so far. Hopefully, that will continue for you.

I watched the radar in 1999 and nothing looked like this. You really dodged a bullet with this tornado. Tornado is traveling along the turnpike. Damage on both sides of the turnpike. This thing is huge!

Warning people to get off the turnpike and if traveling from Tulsa turn around and go back.

Tornado is just southwest of Luther, moving ENE at 30 along I-44 (Turner Turnpike).

How are you still able to have electrical power during all this storm activity? We have the slightest breeze here in my neck of the woods in Connecticut, and the damn power goes out.

It looks to be out of Oklahoma County on the radar and headed toward Stroud on the Turner Turnpike.

They are now reporting injuries.

This is a massive supercell storm. Located just west of Luther along turnpike. Moving about 35 MPH.

Heifner and I-35 area--strong smell of natural gas, per stormchaser.

They are telling people to get underground which means this tornado is huge -- they only tell people to get underground when it is a F-4 high scale or F-5. England calling it massive and it is cycling again. Looks like there are three tornadoes all near each other.

I love severe weather....unless people die and homes are damaged of course...

So I am somewhat frustrated that all the weather in KS this year has been east of I-35 and I am to the west. But boy.....I am not frustrated that I have missed out on all the devastation. Yesterday and tonight in OKC....this has got to be record-setting.
