Yes, but we got ours Tuesday night. Jackson, Mo is about four miles away and got heavy damage.

We have a wonderful floodwall here in Cape on the Mississippi, but not one siren. LOL

I see where our counties (Cass & Boone) are under a severe t-storm watch until 5 a.m. Looks like a sleepless night.

post from another forum....a stormchaser account of the tornado, spelling errors and all:

"Tim Marshall, my husband Gene and myself have just got home from intercepting the *MAJOR* tornado event in Oklahoma City.

We are mud-splattered, grazed and shaken, but all here and all OK. We chaed in the darkness and the murk, and eventually had the tornado go either right over us or right to our west and north.
We believe that this was the *large* tornado of the night - and was newly forming as the meso approcahed our area. We believe this is a separate event from what was causing the sporadic power flashes - which was probably a separate vortex/tornado.

We were following the DOWS. They stopped just off I-35 near Briton Road and deployed. We figured we were safe.

Within minutes, mist, fog and rain hooked around and engulfed us. We became extremely uneasy. Tim and Gene realised the developing situation (I was incomprehensible), and headed for the nearest overpass. Defying all advice, we rumbled up into the overpass, spouted from the vehicle and took shelter beneath the beams on a very well constructed, "right kind" of bridge. We knew we were safe. We filmed Gene's vehicle - thinking it may be sucked out and lost. It was not. We were just to the east of the developing tornado. Sheltering in the mud, slime and dampness, but safe, Tim and then Gene crawled out in the darkness in time to get video of the *WEDGE* moving away from our location. I remained in the darkness surrounded by concrete untilGene pulled me out.

Damage was marginal where we were - but this WAS a wedge. We have heard reports of churches and schoolhouses blown away one mile to our north and onwards.

I remember now.......as were were making a dash into oblivion in power-outaged darkness - for the overpass - I remember. I remember seeing a *light* in the sky out of my side of the window. I thought it was a reflection. It was not.
I have just realised that Gene saw this too - and it was a developing tornado right to our west. We had seen a *light* - as if on a piece of string on a child's toy - being lofted hundreds of feet into the air.
The ball of light remained until power was obviously cut and it went out.

I never want to have an experience like this again. All chasers
reading this.......heed my words. You CAN be too close. You CAN have problems when you think the storm is isolatyed and predictable."

current (and consistent) trajectory does NOT have the hook echo moving over Tulsa...in fact, last several frames shows a movement over the south-central part of the county......

Are you using a website for the velocity mode? Intellicast is slow and unreliable.

BTW, I agree with you. The main rotation (according to Intellicast) is not in the hook, it's imbedded in the center of the storm or north of the highway.

Looks like a lot of damage from the pictures now coming in on Channel 9. It looks like the damage was a mile wide at times as it crossed over OKC. I-35 shut down in Edmond due to power lines down.

We'll be up and praying for you guys tomorrow.

My mother in law lives in Jackson, MO. Thankfully, she was lucky and wasn't hurt and didn't get any damage the other night.

The tornado tracked near I-44 when it crossed over I-35 which was quite a bit north of yesterday.

Tornado headed for Channel 9 -- Gary England just said to get people out of the studio!

FYI Gary has been doing the weather in OKC since I was stationed there, 30 years ago. He's very good at it, especially predicting the paths of tornadoes, if they will appear, and also predicting snowfall, which is tricky in places where they generally get much. I was amazed to find him still on the TV when I was up there last year.
