I thought of Iraq war and relationship to twister damage too. Seems like every time there is man made damage, like from a war or bombing, there is a big natural disaster.... I always think it is God showing us that HE is in Control of HIS Universe.

We, Ff--150 and I were staying at the Travel Lodge by Walmart, we were walking into Target at the exact moment that it hit the ground Thursday. If the Target store had not been there we would have been able to see the tornado.

Did you hear Gary England say "that is the biggest hook echo I've ever seen in my life"? That's not hyberbole coming from Gary, either.

I've never heard him even use words more than "gosh" or "darn", but last night when he had the tower cam showing Baptist Hospital getting hit, he just said "Oh God!"

When that F5 (F6) hit on May 3, I remember I had never heard him say "get below ground, this is NOT surviveable above ground" before.

I hope they don't had my way (Florida)

I lived in Pensacola for 12 years. My Dad was terrified of hurricanes, and kept telling me to come back to Texas every time there was a storm. I explained that you know a hurricane is coming and even have time to give it a name!

I finally moved back home. Stay safe. Hurricane season may be rough this year.

Good morning! My kids had a great time last night! I got them up at 1:20, put them in the tub...they got to wear their bike helmets and sit in the tub with pillows, while watching "Shrek" on my husband's laptop! They had so much fun, the are probably hoping for storms now! Hahaha!

ElGato--Havent been watching, I hope you're wrong. (No offense!)

Taking my mom to lunch for an early Motehr's Day celebration. Have a great, storm-free day!

Sheesh, living in Ok City is like living in a war zone.

Our bathroom has windows, so we crowd into the hall. It was close with all 8 of us; I'm a little stiff this morning. Patrick (1-1/2) thought it was playtime and tried to dismantle the weather radio! I think I'm glad we're moving, now!

The week of June 16. If you didn't already have a house in our neighborhood, I'd ask if you wanted a house in our neighborhood!

Haha! I'd really love to get OUT of our neighborhood, to be honest. Too many people starting to park their cars on the street. Plus, there is a new resident with a big ugly monster truck and some other car up on blocks. Call me snooty, but YUCK! Makes the whole neighborhood look trashy.

Our street is okay, since the awful people on the end moved last fall. Are you in sight of the adorable periwinkle and fuschia place on the corner of Kent? Cracks me up every time I go by!

Yes, thank you! I'm just fine!

How about you? I'll tell you, we need to put meteorologists in charge of more than just weather emergencies. They do such a good job...save many many lives.

Many thanks to all who posted tornado locations on this thread. I was able to plot them on a city map as the storm was proceeding. We have relatives in OKC, so we were concerned.

I posted the time of each geographic post next to the location. I added a few additional points from the newspapers this morning. It makes for an interesting plot.

The plot suggests there were several tornadoes, all traveling in the same general direction but separated from each other by one or more miles. This is consistent with the reported multiple vortices in this storm. Each of the tornadoes appeared to travel to the NE in more or less straight parallel lines.

I feel sorry for anyone who got hurt or lost property in this bad storm.

Yes, there were multiple tornadoes last night in the OKC area, though I'm not certain how many were actually confirmed. Often, there is damage from what could have been a small tornado, but it couldn't be confirmed. Usually this damage is often just attributed to strong winds after a few days. The tornado that came very close to me when I was younger was not confirmed, but from the damage that we helped clean up, it was most definitely a tornado--nothing else can rip up multiple trees by the roots, skip a couple, then rip up several more by the roots (some family have a very long driveway and had very large trees lining either side of it; this is where we saw this damage). Luckily, this tornado only damaged trees and pasture fences...

My husband and I have a bet going. We think she MUST be living in her x-husband's home, and is trying to make it as awful as she can. RE: the same house...what is with the yard and her various "gardens"?!!! She's around the corner from us.

I like the roses they have along the sidewalk, and they finally got the pile of dirt off the driveway. That paint job just kills me!
