Are Evangelist’s [sic] Attacks on Islam Provoking more Terrorism?

After reading this article Other Source on Evangelist’s [sic] who are spitting hatred towards Islam it made me aware of the importance of them realizing the potential consequences of their words. Our soldiers are dying for our peace while some Evangelist’s [sic] are lighting new fires with their anti-Islam sentiment, elsewhere. Our soldiers may have to risk their lives putting out these new fires. I am for a strong military but it has to go along side with easing the hatred as a medium to long term goal to prevent a “clash of civilizations” as Bin Laden is aspiring for.

If you review what motivates the al Qaida network besides a fanatical interpretation of their religion, it is hatred of America and belief that we are coming after them. Hatred, like that shown towards Islam by our CHRISTIAN Evangelist's [sic] is inspiring more people to fly air planes into our buildings. It may be recruiting more terrorists that feel a need to fight for their religion which in turn is getting more of our children killed. This is not just words or about restraining freedom of speech, but a national security issue and just plain common sense.

Maybe the common theme throughout history of people uniting and having something to hate just feels too good to care about the destruction their words cause? Maybe this is how some Evangelist’s [sic] gather their congregations? Beware of following one who shouts hatred. You can ease hate by reminding people of kindness and compassion. People can tend to get in a "mob" mentality and find social acceptance readily, by sharing hate. It takes strength of character to find social acceptance through the sharing of kind thoughts.

We need to be educated on being "street smart" [sic] in a world where we are no longer protected by our borders. Since most American's [sic] don't travel much, or when they do it is typically in an "environmental bubble", they "do no [sic] know they do not know" the rules of the street internationally. We better wise up quickly though, because much has changed with these new tools of globalization, as 9/11 has proved.

The Islamic religion is a tolerant religion and it is only a minority of extremes that paint a bad perception. Unless we want millions of Islamic people and millions of Christian’s [sic] to die, tolerance is the only viable solution. Have a “no tolerance” policy on terrorism, and aspire for better international relations. We do not need anymore enemies.

I would say that those Christian Evangelists who express hatred toward Islam and Muslims are in fact stirring up contention and hostility.

And it's sad for those who get caught in the cross-fire.
