It's time for Tenet to go.

It was time for Tenet to go on January 21, 2001.

It was past time for Tenet to go on September 11, 2001.

It is still past time for Tenet to go now. Why he is still there - continuing to run the CIA into the ground - is beyond my comprehension.

I like your scenario, but I'm not convinced the WMD end of it will play that way. If it does it will be classic. Dean can resign. LOL

But, blame isn't the answer that the DNC was looking for. They want to impeach Bush. That won't happen. So, now they are looking to blame Tenet, and that isn't the answer, either. Resignation is. And I don't believe that Tenet will be asked to resign.

This just blew up in the DNC's face, and they know it.

"Little trick straight from bubba's playbook. Slip the news out on a Friday evening when very few of the sheep are paying any attention. It will get hashed out on the Sunday am shows, and by Monday, any further accusations will be, "old news."

Problem is, that makes Tenet a foot-dragging jerk. He should have come out with this early this week, instead of waiting until Friday night. Perhaps that's your point, being that he's a Clinton appointee, and dumping on a Friday night means it doesn't quite get the play (and hence he doesn't get the grief) he otherwise would. I've never liked him. I hope he gets fired for this.

Tenet is a load of Clinton incompetence being held over for God only knows what reason. Whether 9-11 or now this fiasco he has been nothing but a thorn.

I and others have long called for his firing. Get rid of him now!

No, not at all. Tenet is just part of the Rope-A-Dope. The Democrats will not be able to go to air with their stupid commercials, and just as soon as they turn their attacks to Tenet, the Administration will release all the WMD stuff that they have been holding back.

It is going to be a Massacre.

I like it...

Well I believe it's called saving face. The Dems can't just back off at this stage, they want their pound of flesh from somebody.

McAwful has it wrong again - they'll lose seats at the mid-term elections. Charles Krauthammer has it right today in his column - the Democrats were against war in Iraq - a place where we have a strategic and national security interest. They are FOR war in Liberia - where we have no strategic interest.

The Dems are imploding IMO

I had to check out dirty underwear.com. Here's a few opinions:
U-friggen believable.
I'm going to throw up.
$#@*&%!
Oh, piffle.
This makes NO sense!

There were a few who wanted Bush impeached and stuff, but that's old news. They've been saying that since 2000.
They feel bad about Tenant clearing all this up. They thought they had another Monica-gate of their own. LOL.

Democrats are deeply, deeply saddened.

From Tenet's bio:

Mr. Tenet came to the Committee in August of 1985, as designee to the Vice Chairman, Senator Patrick Leahy, after working three years on the staff of Senator John Heinz as both a legislative assistant covering national security and energy issues and as legislative director.

How much worse can it get?!!

Laurie Mylroi was on FNC earlier and she said President Bush doesn't seem to realize how Clinton appointees still holding positions in the State Department and intelligence community have influenced the intel. She said if those people were gone, the president would be easily convinced of the AQ and Iraq connection.

Both were dismissive of Tenet taking responsibility, obvious they aren't ready to stop the attack on Bush.

And Terry the 18 million man's melt down explains why they aren't stopping

Think about it .. they demanded names .. they demanded someone answer these questions and take responsibity

Tenent did ... the problem is, they didn't want an answer so soon .. they wanted to beat Bush up more

WHY??? .. because it fits thier agenda

They aren't going to get it. This is Friday night, the weekend is here, they lost their chance. Sunday Morning talkshows will not revive this enough. They lost their chance to play their commercials, didn't they?
