Charlie Rangel Objecting to Death of Hussein Children on Hannity & Colmes
Posted on 07/22/2003 6:24:56 PM PDT by vbmoneyspender
Rangel is objecting to the deaths of the Hussein children on the grounds that their deaths violated are laws against assassinating foreign leaders. I can't believe it. Actually, I can. What I can't believe is he is saying this on tv.

I shall wait with bated breath to learn how the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus reacts to Rangel's pronouncements. (And by the way, why isn't there a Congressional White Caucus? Oh, right, how silly of me --
that would be racist.)
My guess is that none will object to Rangel's words, and that some will offer support. The Congressional Black Caucus continues to foster the notion that they speak for all black citizens. Yet every day, I see more evidence -- in the news media, and in person -- that would lead one to a different conclusion.

Regenl and Hissy Chrissy Matthews tonight prove once again taht their hatred for President Bush & VP Cheney outweighs
any possible care they might have for national security.
One of the biggest news nights since the war started and Libs/Lib Media cannot find it in themselves to even praise the troops. Rengel owes the military families an apology for his inference that they are assasins, not warriors fighting for our security and lives.
At least they are exposiong themselves to scrutiny of their anti-American positions.

You are right, the order was changed recently. Facts NEVER stop them of course. If Clinton had done it, it would have been FOR the children of course!

Yeah, he said, 'they were someone's children.' Yeah, tell that to the parents of the American soliders who died at the hands of the bums who followed these fools- not to mention the hundreds of children imprisoned by the regime.Great point. I was waiting for someone to raise the issue of hostages being taken for their exchange, which would surely happen. Next I expect to hear complaints that we killed the 14 year old son of whichever thug was his father.

WHO CARES!!!!! THE EVIL HAVE BEEN KILLED! They barricaded themselves in the house...doesn't sound like they had plans to waltz out the door.

I say the Dems get hold of some Uday and Qusay DNA, clone the boys, and have them as guest speakers at the 2004 Democratic Convention.

Children? Those hell-spawn were both over 30. Ya hafta remember that with the Dems, "the childern" is always an excuse, reason, etc.
Wild Irish Rogue referred to the Dems as 'our domestic Baath Party'. I think he hit the nail on the head.

If the occupants were given an opportunity to surrender (and I assume they were), then Rangel's assertion that this was an assassination fails on it's face. That was my point, and to that extent I care. As an "ultimate" matter, I don't give a hoot either way.

He's an effing disgrace. Agreed.
But I wonder if Hannity is STILL going to call him "my good friend Charley Rangel" the next time he has him on his radio show.

If Rangel loved those 'children' so much, why didn't he adopt them, since it's very likely that those poor boys were orphans.

Frankly, I too believe that Rangel is a moron, as well as virulently anti-American. Unfortunately, I also believe that he truly represents the views of his constituents.
What are we to do, deny these folks their opinions because we don't agree with them? I prefer real education for them rather than ostracization.
Keep up the good fight.

The Executive Order that prohibited assassinations of foreign leaders [based on the Church Committee report] does not apply to situations where the U.S. is in a state of war or hostilities with another country.Rangel is just plain stupid like most liberals, as well as a traitor. Wish he would go to Liberia!

Isn't it funny? If Sean turned his back on Rangel in a dark alley, I'm sure he'd get a knife in the back real quick.

That interview was surreal. Rangel hit perfection with literally everything spewing from his pie-hole bizarro world or something.
I'm sorry, but words are failing me in describing my outrage at the bilgewater.
I would love to hear him amplify on the "terrible things" that happened after we "tried to assasinate Castro".

It occurred to me that Saddam may have indeed, died in the first bombing raid of the war. His son's were just carrying on with the despotism and warfare. I heard that a 14 yr old son of Saddam was also killed today in that firefight.
