Laurie Mylorie and Peter Lance. Following the same path!

Posted on 09/06/2003 7:14:06 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

I just finished watching an interview on Fox and Friends with Peter Lance. This man is an investigative reporter who looked into Iraq,911,1993 WTC Bombing,Ramsey Yousef, and all other connections.

I intend to buy his book "1000 years for revenge" The evidence missing from the Joint Inquiry's 911 report.

In it he apparently suggests Ramsey Yousef was the master mind behind 911 and that it was planned way back in 1992.

I've read Laurie Mylorie's book and she makes the exact same case. I don't know what it is that fascinates me so much about this subject, other than the fact that both books make an extremely solid case that Iraq was involved in 911 up to their eyeballs.

Did you guys know that..

Khalid Shake Mohamed is Ramsey Yousef's Uncle?

Ramsey Yousef called Sheik Mohamed so many times before the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that the phone company cut his phone service.

Where was Ramsey calling might you ask?

Why...he was calling Iraq...Where Khalid Shake Mohamed was living at the time...GETTING ADVICE AND PLANS FROM THE MAN WHO WAS CHIEF OF OPERATIONS FOR AL-QUEDA.

Thats just one little bitty bit. There are literally thousands of pieces of evidence that make it extremely clear Iraq was involved with 911.

One of the main investigators who had been attempting to get the government all this information was killed on 911. He was a firefighter and when he heard about what was happening he rushed to the top floor to help get everyone out.

THE EVIDENCE MISSING FROM THE JOINT INQUIRY'S 9/11 REPORT "An astonishing series of revelations, this book is a must-read for the FBI, the 9-11 commission, Congress and anyone whose job it is to protect national security. If the FBI is to successfully transform itself from a crime-solving agency to a terrorism prevention force, it must learn from the mistakes described in 1000 Years for Revenge." - Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Judiciary Committee

There are a small handful of books that must be read if we are to understand the present threat of Islamic extremists to our way of life, and 1000 Years for Revenge will become one of them. This is a wake-up call to show America how our barn door was left open, and how uncertain we should be that our institutions are capable of closing it." -Dennis Smith, author of Report From Ground Zero and Report From Engine Co. #82.

"An astounding investigation. The Senate-House Joint Inquiry report said there were no "smoking guns" on how the FBI missed 9/11. Peter Lance's book is a 500 page "smoking gun." -Kristen Breitweiser, Co-Chair, Sept. 11 Advocates

I searched for a website in which Laurie Mylorie wrote columns or anything about her and I found this.

I also found this

Praise for THE WAR AGAINST AMERICA...

"Move over, Tom Clancy, Laurie Mylroie has written the year's thriller…. This splendid and wholly convincing book should form the basis for urgent Senate and House hearings to get to the bottom of the case."

-Richard Perle, former Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy

"After September 11 many, including myself, believe that the attacks may be the result of a partnership between the terrorists and a state with a sophisticated intelligence service and a program of biological warfare. If this proves to be true and Iraq is shown to be the terrorists' partners, there is no reason for anyone to ask, 'Why didn't someone warn us?' because Laurie Mylroie did."

-R. James Woolsey, former CIA Director

"Provocative and disturbing…argues powerfully that the shadowy mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing…was in fact an agent of Iraqi intelligence."

-Paul Wolfowitz, Deputy Secretary of Defense

"A convincing case that the technical skills, coordination, and resources required for mega-terror operations need the support of hostile intelligence agencies and governments with an overriding need to strike America senseless."

-Washington Post

On September 11, Americans were faced with destruction so terrifying that they couldn't always speak of it in direct terms. Instead, they made comparisons: it was like a movie, a nightmare, Pearl Harbor. But in fact, this attack resembles nothing more than it resembles the first bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993, the harbinger of terrorism to come.

In THE WAR AGAINST AMERICA (ReganBooks; An Imprint of HarperCollinsPublishers; On-sale Date: November 7, 2001; ISBN 0-06-009771-X; $14.00 U.S. / $20.95 Canada), Laurie Mylroie-an adviser to Bill Clinton on Iraq and coauthor of New York Times bestseller Saddam Hussein and the Crisis in the Gulf-revisits her previous in-depth investigations of this first attack. Now, taking into account compelling new information, Mylroie offers a real-life detective story that follows the individuals-and perhaps nations-behind the original bombing. In the process, she raises astonishing questions about the September 11 assault and the biological attacks that have followed.

In his foreword, former CIA Director R. James Woolsey supports Mylroie's assertions that during the early 1990's, the U.S. government shifted from viewing terrorism as a tool used by governments to a practice engaged in by smaller fringe networks. This change led U.S. officials to go after the individuals responsible for the first World Trade Center attack while overlooking the fact that those men appeared to have extensive contacts with Iraqi intelligence. But here, Mylroie traces the actions of Ramzi Yousef, the mastermind behind the bombing, who remained at large until a botched attempt to down a dozen U.S. planes two years later. In reviewing Yousef's phone calls before the bombing, false passports and escape patterns, Mylroie finds ties to Iraq at every turn. Could it be that he was acting alone, out of his own hatred for America, or was the Iraqi government, and Saddam Hussein in particular, supporting Yousef in what was once the most ambitious terrorist attack on U.S. soil?

During this time when Americans are desperately seeking answers, they first need to discover which questions to ask. Nineteen men, who seemed to be working with Osama bin Laden, took down four planes on September 11. But was bin Laden working with support from shadow nations? And Saddam Hussein, who has stores of anthrax, has vowed that his battle with America will continue. Is this his idea of revenge?

THE WAR AGAINST AMERICA is a must-read for anyone seeking a greater understanding of terrorism. Laurie Mylroie's tireless research and thoughtful analysis offer stunning, convincing new evidence about the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that will forever change the way that Americans view the events of September 11.

I'm so convinced Iraq was behind the attacks, both 9/11 and the first WTC bombing, that it frustrates me to no end that we don't use the information we have.

I also will not be surprised to learn someday that Iraq played a hand in the OKC bombing.

The democrats would never hold public office again on a national leadership level, if we told people what we know, and also told people that the congressional leadership knew too as a result of their intelligence briefings.

That could be partly the reason why the govt is so reluctant to air these facts: it would shake the people's faith in all govt. But the more that's covered up, the more likely this will happen anyway.

I've seen some reporting (Laurie Mylroi?) that suggests Tim McVeigh met with Iraqi operates before the OKC bombing and ties them to that tragedy as well. It would not surprise me.

I read it before 9/11 as well. At the time, I thought the book brought up a number of interesting connections between Iraq and the first WTC attack. I became convinced that there was an Iraqi connection because of her work.

One thing I don't like about Lance's book is that though he concedes with Mylorie that al Qaida and Hussein agreed to not let their differents hinder mutual aims against the U.S.A. - He refuses to deal with Mylorie's well documented case for Yousef's Iraqi connections (He wants to maintain that al Qaida was purely the responsible agent for the Trade Center attacks - with out the slightest cooperation from nation states in the region (like Iraq). I don't think this position can be upheld in any honest review of the facts.
