Not true. In 1988, Dr. Paul was the Libertarian Party nominee for the U.S. Presidency.

Well, I meant that I did not think Paul had been a Democrat originally, as had most TX Republicans. Of course, I knew that he was the Libertarian candidate for president in 1988.
Did you know that it is impossible to register as "Libertarian" in TX? Why? One can state a party in TX ONLY by voting in a party primary. The Libertarians have never held a primary in TX; so there is no formal affiliation with the Libertarian Party possible in TX.
