Is that show still on TV?

NBC is a private company...don't like what they sell?

Don't buy it.

We did not crucify Rather and Mapes, and Kerry is still in the Senate.

Islamofascists want an apology for an offensive cartoon, people in here want an apology for an offensive TV show.

The comparison stands.

What a shame that you don't have a valid retort.

We did not crucify Rather and Mapes

Who said they were?

and Kerry is still in the Senate.

And he is NOT the Pres.

NBC is a private company...don't like what they sell?

Don't buy it.

Which is EXACTLY the point of this thread.

I think a lot of us are tired of "loosening up." It's time for them to give a little now.

Sorry, but I have more important things to do than to write letters complaining about the substance of a TV show that I and apparently the vast majority of the population never watch.

"NBC is a private company...don't like what they sell?

Can you imagine what would happen to me if I had a show on how homos are frauds. That no one is born that way. Next had a parade of STRAIGHT, FORMER homosexuals on giving their testimony on what the root problem was.

Heck, O'REilly for one would shriek. He's a homo sympathizer except when they molest kids ooops he doesn't acknowledge that.

The a point is the left is free to do what it pleases. The right has NO rights - even if they're telling the truth. Now imagine what would muslims do if we portrayed Mohammad as the bisexual child molester gigolo that he was? Heck they'd behead us all. As true as it is, people don't do it. SO I don't see why Christians have to tolerate this filth. You see it's open season on Christianity. There is no room for tolerance or agreeing to disagree. The name of their game is blasphemy.

There's nothing wrong with moral outrage. It worked on the Mapes, Rather and Kerry crap. Keep in mind too that what one generation condones, the next practices.

There is a big difference between protesting the fictional stories on what is supposed to be a non-fictional news program and protesting the story line of a fictional situation comedy that is about to go off the air for good. By acting out, you are drawing attention to the very show that you want people not to watch.

That's correct. Christians don't have the right to do that. We may not like them but we don't conjure about trash about their families and make a movie out of it during a holiday they hold dear to their hearts.

Just wondering. Arent you guys supposed to be out evangelizing? Weren't you warned that you would be mocked and reviled? All I see are people in an internet chatroom
spending time and energy feigning some kind of righteous indignation. How bout a little energy spent turning the other cheek?

There is an even bigger difference between a peaceful petition campaign and threats of violence. Surely you can see that.

If actually following the word of Jesus was a requirement, then I've met exactly two Christians in my life.

That may be but rolling over and playing dead doesn't accomplish anything. People only know they've crossed the line if they've been told. Objecting to trash has been so denigrated that it's now viewed as a bad thing and it is not. Decent people have been silenced and that has lost us ground. There is nothing wrong with standing up for what's right.

"Jack's fictional network, Out TV, is bought by a Christian TV network, leading to Spears contributing a cooking segment called "Cruci-fixin's.""

Do all the recipes involve crackers/bread on a stick with a glass of wine?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Do you consider a petition drive to be unchristian?

Looks like Mr. Jeffrey R. Immelt is a really slow learner. He's not earning his $8 million salary this week.

So, of course, you can point me to the massive Christian riots and various assaults/murders perpetrated by Christians due to the insults levied against our religion, right?

Who said you had to write letters? Word of mouth can destroy such inanity very quickly. This website alone is an extremely powerful tool, so most of the work is already done.

We need to loosen up a bit otherwise we're no better than the freak'in towel heads who want to destroy the western work because some newspaper printed a characture of Mohommad.

That's an utterly uninformed comment. There's a lot of difference between writing a letter of protest and storming an embassy and taking hostages.
