Fifty years ago, Islam was denigated by "civilized" people, including most agnostics. Now, ironically, people think that Muslims have a high standard of sexual morality. I guess they do in comparison with Hugh Hefner, who lives like an old Sultan.
We can e-mail our affiliates tonight and call them tomorrow.
We need to stand up and be counted.
You would cheer them as some sort of demigods.
People who bitch about having their mores insulted, aren't particularly concerned about what insults others...so they use words like "homo", and bitch like stuck pigs when their own space is violated.
If the people of Iran had revolted at the first sign of the sort of oppression that was coming from Khomeinism, and thrown the Mullahs out on their collective asses thirty years ago, Iran would be a whole lot better place than what it is today.
So no thanks...I'll start backing fundamentalists down the moment they raise their heads up.
Don't watch what you don't like to watch, don't read what you don't like to read, but leave the rest of us to make our own decisions.
Will and Grace has had an incredibly successful eight-year run, always at the top of the ratings.
People have stood up and they've been counted.
I don't even watch the show and I know that.
You all want to stand up and be counted when the show has three or four episodes left before the series finale?
>> I thought Britney Spears had some sort of Christian faith <<
Nah, she's Episcopalian. They sainted her, by the way.
I think she's into scientology or kabbalah.. whatever is popular with wacko celebrities at the moment.
We need to stand up and be counted.

I was talking about THAT specific show, and standing up to NBC, in general. Besides the topic of this thread, and the Book of Daniel, NBC's "Law and Order" is antiCatholic.
Yes, we need to stand up and be counted, and stop the Christian bashing on the public's airwaves.
Imagine that...who would put up with "Christian bashing"?
What does Jesus expect us to do...put up with that sort of crap in His name?
Next thing you know, newspapers may print cartoons about Christ...why I oughta!
Are you nuts?
There's no moral equivocation in this case between a Christian boycott of a program and Muslim violence over a cartoon.
It's offensive and inappropriate. WE care...
But you needn't worry -- Nobody'll stop you from resuming watching your W&G reruns and sipping a big ol' mug of chamomile tea.
The Holy Feast of the L-rd; the sacrifice of the Lamb.
It is also known as the so-called "Last Supper"

Yeah, you're right. We gotta keep those dangerous Christians on a short leash.
I don't remember anyone being all that upset about it then.
Hmmmm... I wonder what Fox would think about this?
But, we don't have to remain silent when Jesus is mocked. We can use our influence to stand up for what we believe.
I pray that Brittany will reconsider her involvement in this episode.
this is off topic, but I thought I would try to ask the Christian posters here for help.....there was an email running around that featured a Thomas Kincade pic with the words "If God leads you too it, He'll lead you through it".....I need it desparately since we have "issues" in our lives right now and we need to remember the God is in control.....thx ya'll....
Remember how the enemy has
mocked you, O LORD,
how foolish people have
reviled your name.--Psalm 74:18
I have a bag of pita crisps here made by a company called "Garden of Eatin'" Should I be morally outraged?
I asked my wife to pick up pita chips at the store last week so I suppose properly, I should point this out to her.
Next comes the question of when. Her mother, who has an aggressive recurrence of cancer and is a very devout traditional Catholic, found out yesterday that they will continue her chemo for 2 weeks and if there is no improvement all treatment will stop. She may not make it to Easter.
So no, my FRiend, everything to me is not a 'big joke' - but I do have priorities in life and falling into a lunatic fringe stereotype isn't one of them.
Blessings,
