Gisele Bundchen Blasts Roman Catholic Church's Opposition to Condom Use, Abortion Thursday, June 07, 2007
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil Gisele Bundchen is the biggest international star on the runway during Rio's Fashion Week, but she's also making headlines for criticizing the Roman Catholic church's opposition to condom use and abortion.
Bundchen, who paraded Tuesday night for the Colcci label, told the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper that the church's take on contraception is hopelessly outdated because it was adopted when "the women were virgins, the guys were virgins."
"Today, no one is a virgin when they get married," Bundchen said. ...
She added: "How is it possible to not want people to use condoms and also not have abortions? It's impossible, I'm sorry."

Who gives a rat’s ass what Gisele thinks or says? Do you think the Pope pays any attention to that dreck? I’ll bet Satan is taking notes though.

From Genesis:
“Go forth and be fruitful and multiply.”
Says it all. This model needs to read her Bible.

Gisele is lucky that she is pretty. She hasn’t got the brains that God gave a goose.

Typical modern liberal — since virtue is difficult, we should define virtue down and call vice virtue.

I hate the way we glorify the "bling" society.
Membership of the above is Ms. Bundchen's only intellectual/theological credential.

She added: "How is it possible to not want people to use condoms and also not have abortions? It's impossible, I'm sorry."Gisele - and I say this with the utmost Christian charity - you're an idiot. Shut up and model. Or better yet, use your brain before you speak.

I find it amusing when celebrities attempt to comment on such topics and prove they really know nothing about it.

Derek: Why do you hate models, Matilda?
Matilda: Honestly?
Hansel: Yes.
Matilda: I think they're vain, stupid, and incredibly self-centered.
Hansel: I totally agree with you. But how do you feel about male models?

Ugh. Yet another heretic profiting off God. For only $11.99, you can have the Body Book For Beginners. Say Hallelujah. When will it ever end? When will gullible people ever catch on? God; Yes. Religion; No. But theres no money in JUST God.
It was a funny comment but think about what you are saying. You are saying this guy C. West is rich because of this, right? How many people do you know who listen to God about their sex lives?
Christopher West is not rich by any means. He barely makes any money due to the fact that everyone would rather not talk about religion or God when it comes to their sex lives. Where is the huge market for sexual morality, even among religious people?
I love Iggy Pop by the way. Do you like B.A.D. or the Clash? I do dig the Clash tune called "No Glory." I like that tune and everything in it except for the anti-Church lines. I think understandably people get bad signals on religion. There are over zealous people. There are prudes who do not understand that God is the one who actually created penises and vaginas. The bad religious examples are the ones who make a lot of noise (mean grandmas, frustrated aunts and uncles, cranky and uptight do gooders, those presented by the media/politicians). At its heart, which I admit is hard sometimes to see, most religions are great.
Regardless of your stand on religion in general, you may not want to just dismiss
The Theology of the Body simply because it is associated with religion. It is not at all your typical religious thing. It is based on Phenomenology and the beautiful and sexual reality that is the human body. You can find out
plenty for free on the web (no one makes any money there). It is not your typical "body bad, spirit good" take on sexuality. It does not squint or look away from sex. It will surprise you. I know it did me. There is talk in it that makes sailors blush. After all Adam and Eve were naked originally naked without shame. Christ came into the world naked and went out that way.

oooh...that movie is a guilty pleasure of mine.
But this topic makes me wonder....Why am I supposed to care about what this chick thinks about anything? Although she and I both have the same favorite scent from Victoria’s Secret.
