My wife fell on the sidewalk coming back from our extended family Christmas celebration. She has cut her hand pretty badly. My daughter is taking her to the emergency room now and I am trying to hold myself together and do something useful.
Please pray for her complete healing. She is visually impaired, and the crafts are her world and her ability to give back to others. She has make exquisite sweaters and scarfs for others. If she loses the ability to craft, she will lose so much of her joy in life.
10:35—My daughter just called to say she will have no structural damage but will need a couple of stitches. More to follow.
Look at her bright side … she will get you to “tote and fetch” for her for several days. Great Christmas for her. ;-)
Oh yeah, and I get to cook Christmas dinner... oh, joy for us all.
Able to type and vacuum at the same time … you go guy!
It’s amazing what stress and ADD do together. Fortunately the house has a small first floor.
A broken wrist does not a bad cook make, especially if she has a good husband to back her up.

Turkey breast, roasted with butter. Got the pan, got the recipe if need be.

My question, mayhap I missed it in the original post … why are you not at the hospital?
My 21 year old daughter knew the way and has a cooler head. We moved into this town recently and I don’t know where the local emergency centers are. She told us to have me stay at home and coordinate and she would see Mom got there.
I’m beginning to have some doubts about this posting. If my wife were hurt, my butt would be at the hospital about 2 seconds after she arrived. Sorry about my questions, but vacuuming while my wife is in the emergency room does not seem logical.
Work with me here. And I apologize if my questions seem impertinent.
Why was I vacuuming? Because I was stressed out. It gave me something to do between praying and posting.
We get scammed so much here that I have to question when certain obvious (to me) flaws occur in a story.

I don’t blame you for doubting. I appreciate what you have done. Still waiting for them to come home now, and see what has to be done next.

FReeRepublic does get scammed lately and will get worse through the election season so you were correct to be a skeptic. Prayers up.
