Some can tell ‘em; and some can’t.

Well, he WAS listening to Sean’s show, wasn’t he....perhaps he was beginning to have some doubts he didn’t want to face.

...even he deep down recognized that he did not have authority in Jesus’s name so he tried the fantasy priesthood.

Acts 19

13. Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."
14. Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
15. [One day] the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"
16. Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

Maybe O’Fallon has a smidgen of hope since even he deep down recognized that he did not have authority in Jesus’s name so he tried the fantasy priesthood.

Excellent, excellent point MHG. My wife listened to that audio, and was amazed he invoked Melchizadek instead of Jesus.

In fact, Psalm 110:4 that she just read to me speaks directly to the authority of Christ. Some biblical scholars believe Melchizadek was perhaps from heaven - in that he just appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Hebrews 7:3 says he was without father, mother, or genealogy. Fascinating, really.

But the bible is clear - today there is no high priest but Jesus Christ as Sean the host correctly stated.

UNLESS...he believes his "Melchizadek priesthood". qualifies him as EQUAL to Jesus Christ.

A long while back, I encountered a mormon apologist here (can't remember the name), who's first line in reply was something to the effect that I had better watch out because he was a mormon high priest. I wonder if this has something to do with it?

Maybe CC or UB can give you some thoughts on that. IMO it all stems from the mormon attitude of superiority, and there are levels of superiority.
