Concerned Roman Catholics Call on Knights of Columbus to Expel Pro-Abortion Politicians

by Staff August 5, 2008

MEDIA ADVISORY, (christiansunite.com) -- Concerned Roman Catholics of America, Inc. (CRCOA) condemn the Knights of Columbus for their continuing failure to expel pro- abortion and pro-homosexual politicians. The K of C meet in the Hilton Quebec Hotel and in the Quebec City Convention Centre from August 5-7 for their annual Supreme Convention.

Ken Fisher, President of CRCOA, said: "With 50 million abortions since Roe v Wade in 1973, the Knights of Columbus has failed the unborn children miserably. The K of C, founded by Fr. McGivney, ought to be a major force in the pro-life, pro-family movement. Instead, in protecting pro-abortion politician members it has joined the lowest common denominator - "the Culture of Death" - as the late Pope John Paul II named it.

"CRCOA has observed the great decline in Catholic values among the 1.7 million member K of C, which has long claimed to be "the strong right arm of the Catholic Church". Perversely, the K of C has welcomed to its ranks a great number of pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians in exchange for a charitable tax-free status on its life insurance business. The charitable work is done, and most of the money is raised, by volunteer K of C members at local and state level - while Supreme Knight Carl Anderson received $1,120,045 in K of C compensation last year", added Fisher.

Boston CRCOA member John O'Gorman said: "Supreme Knight Carl Anderson ignored the situation of 15/Jul/08 when K of C members in the Massachusetts State Senate voted to repeal a 1913 marriage law. State Reps repealed it on 29/Jul/08. The repeal, signed into law by Gov. Deval Patrick on 31/Jul/08, allows same-sex couples from all the 50 states to marry in Massachusetts."

"On 14/June/07, at least 16 members of the K of C in the legislature defeated the efforts of 170,000 signatories to put traditional marriage on the 2008 ballot. 170,000 signatures far exceeded the required number to place the question on the ballot! Seven of these K of C politicians have the highest ratings from the USA's biggest abortionists, Planned Parenthood, who performed 289,000 abortions in 2006. On 4/May/08, Supreme Advocate (lawyer) Paul Devin, who gave money to Pro-Abortion politicians Ted and Joe Kennedy (OpenSecrets.org), ruled that a State Convention resolution by Grand Knight Joe Craven to suspend pro-abortion and pro-gay politicians was 'unconstitutional'", said O'Gorman.

Fisher added: "As Supreme Knight for the past 7 years, Carl Anderson has refused to expel the pro- abortion and pro-sodomite politicians and members. They, Anderson and Devin must go! Supreme Chaplain Bishop William Lori and the other bishops must excommunicate the pro-abortion and pro- homosexual politicians and members." Fisher concluded, "Devin is an Attorney and as such he should know Parliamentary Procedure, but he apparently chose to ignore that when he made that ruling. How can a Resolution that merely calls for the Knights to honor their own constitution's article 162.7 be ruled unconstitutional!"

As the devil seeks to defile that which once was holy, he also seeks to turn that which once was purposed to glorify God into that which dishonors His name. Romans 1 is being fulfilled before our very eyes. The land of the Puritans now promotes perversity of the highest kind, with the products of institutionalized religion, both Catholic and Protestant, either passively submitting or promoting the Sodomization of the State.

(Ezek 22:30) "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: ...."

One of the greatest mysteries of all time.... why do Catholics vote for the most ungodly of men?

As for the stats listed, I’m shocked that 77 percent of libs believe in sin. Then again, I would suppose their version of sin is something like taking a 15 minute hot shower or driving an SUV; NOT aborting a baby or performing a homosexual marriage.

in the 1930’s essentially 100% of Christian denominations believed birth control to be morally wrong.

In the mid to late ‘30s, first the Episcopal church, then the other nominally Christian denominations, sects and schismatic groups rejected that teaching.

Now all, except the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Catholic Churches, reject any prohibitions on birth control.

First, Birth Control was accepted - then one by one the denominations, sects and schismatics accepted the right of women to “choose” what was right for her good and glory - not God's and so they stood by and let God's innocents be aborted.

Birth control was the camels nose in the tent.

Shame on them, all of them and any Catholics In Name Only who believes birth control and abortion are OK in the Eye's of God.

When you look at the folks marching and praying at the abortuaries, 90% are Catholics, the balance real faithful Christians.

Where are the rest of the Christian denominations?

They don’t. They live in areas dominated by liberal Protestants and non-religious types. But according to Zogby, McCain is leading Obama by 16 points among Catholics. And Catholics solidly turned out for Bush in 2000 and 2004.

... and keep in mind that these polls include as “Catholics” pretty much anyone of Irish, Latino, Polish, Italian or Frencg descent. Weekly Church-going Catholics voted for Bush over Kerry 2-1. And THAT included Latinos.

“I would suppose their version of sin is something like taking a 15 minute hot shower or driving an SUV; NOT aborting a baby or performing a homosexual marriage.”

In-deed. Being a good steward of the earth is Christian, but in order to rationalize away guilt of moral sins souls in rebellion against God, souls will do worship of the earth, and justify themselves by acts thereof. But with 500,000 Americans dead form AIDS, and one of 4 women with a STD. and one of 3 pregnancies terminated by abortion (much due to promiscuity), sexual sins are destroying America faster and surer than any global warming, if it is indeed real (not here).

Actually, the stats overall say otherwise. The places where Rome reigns are overall manifestly more liberal than where their evangelical counterparts do. And in the NE, the latter are very few and far between, at least among the English speaking. Esp. in MA.

These people should be taking the Bishops to task for supporting this perversion.

The Knights of Columbus do not represent the Corporation.

Catholics who vote for “the most ungodly of men” are not Catholics or as we like to call them (CINOs) Catholics In Name Only.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2057688/posts check out this post of what a Catholic women who's baby has been diagnosed with an fetal abnormality is doing - living her faith the way God has given it.

How many “Christians” when confronted with the same diagnosis - flush their God given child.

You can’t be a Christian and just talk the talk and knock the other guy - you have to walk the walk.

I try not to take statistics too seriously because they aren’t accurate and can be biased. But I am PHYSICALLY ILL from looking at those Catholic stats. Those huge numbers saying that 15% of priests are gay, that huge numbers dissagree with the infalibility of the pope, that Catholics want abortion and homosexuals to disgrace our society. “culture of death” was a good description. The only word I can think of for these bastards is TREASON. Treason to God AND country. Tell you what, it dosn’t matter that these people think this way because if they aren’t sorry for these blasphemous thoughts, then they ARE NOT Catholics anymore and can look foward to eternal damnation.

They're self-proclaimed Catholics who dismiss the values and teachings of their religious faith.

I can’t help but think of that lady in England who was told her child was going to be born with a horrible birth defect and she “aborted” the child. The abortion failed and the kid wasn’t even born with the abnormality either.

So much for man’s wisdom.

My mother-in-law is a Roman Catholic. For years she attended a church where the priest taught there was no such person as Satan. I actually called up the Diocese and asked them how a priest could do this and the lady told me that it was not an official church teaching and that she personally had heard they were “trying to get rid of the guy.” I do know that it wasn’t long after that the priest was no longer at THAT church.

Sometimes the congregation needs to pay attention too. It’s OUR church. I’m not Catholic but if my pastor was saying something I knew to be contrary to Scripture, I’d speak up for sure.

In fact, several years ago, my pastor had brought up some of the points from Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and I was aghast. Frankly, the title of Covey’s book should’ve been “7 Habits of Highly Effective People as Explained in the Bible, But Which I Stole for My Book.”

I wrote him a letter and I think a few other people did as well. Not that we don’t think there is some useful info in Covey’s book but that NO Christian church should need to use anything out of a Mormon’s book. We have the BEST book ever written and the Church Fathers as well.

To his credit, Covey’s material was never brought up again.

And one thing we can say for certain is that, unlike global warming, sexual degeneracy is real. There was a recent article in our local paper saying that gonnorhea (sp?) cases among teens was sky high.

And I am very thankful FOR that as well. I’m hoping for something similar to happen this election as well. I think the key is that the Christians who actually practice their faith and walk out and live out their faith tend to be conservative. I’d vote for a Dem in a heartbeat if he was pro-life, pro-family, and strong on this country’s security. But where are they?

Has anyone besides me ever wondered why there are "cafeteria Catholics," "cafeteria Protestants," "cafeteria Jews," etc., but that apparently there is no such thing as a "cafeteria Democrat?"

I have always disliked the Democrat party (as a descendant of old Southern Unionists who have been Republican since Lincoln). But I have grown to absolutely hate and detest it. It seems to have a power over various groups (Southern "yellow dogs," union members, Catholics, white ethnics, Blacks, Hispanics, Irish, Jews, American Indians, Japanese, etc.) that is absolutely demonic in nature and origin. These people literally do not care what the Democrat party currently stands for. All that matters is that they are Democrats and that they vote like their pappy and grandpappy and great grandpappy did.

In order to retain loyalty to the Democrat party Southern "yellow dogs," Blacks, Hispanics, Catholics, and Jews have abandoned every single principal they once held, all so they can remain loyal to the party of their ancestors. Perhaps few remember that Al Gore, Mr. Earth-Worhsip himself, was at one time relatively conservative. Now he is no longer recognizable as the person he used to be, all so he can continue to identify with the party of his ancestors (and he's only a Democrat anyway because his ancestors were Confederates).

There is something absolutely demonic about such a party. I used to joke that the Democrat party should have been outlawed after the Civil War. That is no longer a joke.

What might an America dominated by the Republican and Prohibition parties been like today? Alas, we shall never know.

Shame on ever single solitary Democrat in existence who still goes along with this stuff!
