Re-announcing the prayer and fasting vigil for the elections. Looking for prayer warriors for Oct 25, Oct 26, Nov 1, or Nov 2. Pick one day, or do all four. Ping me if you're in.
That’s wonderful! And you know, I am too. ;-)
But there are times when I/we are called to use extra effort. And this is one of them.
And remember...we’re fasting at the same time. ;-)

I will be keeping vigil with prayer and fasting here in the days immediately before and during the election...
Nov. 1&2....I am going to do a Esther 3 day fast...I hope my brothers and sisters in the USA join me....to pray and fast for our future.....Nov.1-3.
And during that prayer service they prayed for “God's will” over their November election. But, the guy their preacher “prophesied” would win....didn't. But, I think their new leader is a Christian and a nice guy. They are all liberal over there anyway. Their conservative party is even named the “liberal party”!
Just wanted to encourage everyone, and tell you that Christians all over the world are one heart and soul with us...
Good point....hope the Pope will pray for us that day as well.
Lots of different kinds of fasts.
Some folks eat or fast only the following:
Some meat only.
Some veggies only
Some fruit only
Some liquids only and Praise God for VitaMix
Some breads only
Some juices only
Some water only
Some water and vitamins only.
Some liquid diet drinks only.
Whatever fits one’s leading and constitutional abilities.
I usually have to do a liquid fast of some sort.
I often go with meatless . . . fruit, liquid, breads, cheese
I seem to get debilitated and immobilized quickly if I try water only.
Hmmmmm.
If tomorrow all the things wer gone, I worked for all my life
and I’d have to start again with just my children and my wife
I thank my lucky stars to be livin’ here today
Cuz the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away
And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the men who died who gave that right to me
And I gladly stand up next to you nad defend her still today
Cuz there aint no doubt I love this land.
