Interesting that the poster signs up today, yet speaks of hostility in the past.
I smell a retread.
Some maybe see similarities to the description of what the anti Christ is, in Obama........and some just use those words because they want to.

A few nights ago I watched “Hotel Rwanda” and it freaked me out because men who were simply shopkeepers and paupers became for a short while the lords of creation.
I freaked completely out and had to stop it. It’s quite possibly coming. I feel (as a white) like a Jew in 1930’s Germany after Hitler’s election.
Then there are the signs of the anti-Christ and then there's the question whether or not Obama presents enough of them to be a likely candidate.
When you pack all that together you've almost guaranteed incoherent responses.
And yeah, there's the whole vanity thing. No blame in being a FNG, but it's good to look around and find, say, a post where somebody discusses the issue the gets your interest and post there.

No, that’s a very helpful answer. I’d only EVER heard the idea that the rapture comes BEFORE the seven years, I had no idea there were other options. To be perfectly honest, the vast majority of fundamentalist Christians I’ve met ARE selfish and fairly unthinking, so that’s where I’m coming from.
Well, certainly...that’s WHY he’s willing to blow himself up. I don’t think that if I killed myself for one religion or the other, I’d be rewarded, so I DON’T. But evangelist Christians DO think they’ll go to heaven during the rapture, so why would they be CONCERNED about a sign the rapture is coming?

We are warned to be ready and watchful, no man knows the time, maybe what you see is merely an attempt to identify him. Also understand, if it were tomorrow that your time may be tonight.
I personally don’t believe anyone should call for the end, anymore than they would jump off a bridge to hasten it. We should stand against evil, which may be the reason for any anxiety you detect, and let God decide when “enough is enough”.
I might insult intelligent FReepers, but I see even us getting temporarily deceived by the Anti-Christ. Whoever God or the Devil chooses, he’s going to be someone truly unique and convincing.

It only ever became a possibility with the Obamessiah. The majority of black Americans would be appalled and would try to hide whites in their basements. There wouldn’t be any basements big enough. Only the insane will have a voice. The Black Panther Prince has the power now.

There have actually been quite a few, though it's certainly not a widespread belief among FR posters. To check for yourself, go to Google Advanced Search, type freerepublic.com in the "Search within a site or domain" box, and type the phrase (without quote marks) "Obama is the anti-Christ" in the "this exact wording or phrase" box. Of course that only picks up the ones phrased exactly way (surely plenty more are phrased slightly differently), and also picks up that phrase where it is immediately preceded by "I don't think that" or "I don't believe that". But quite a few hits from that search are indeed FReepers asserting that they believe Obama is the anti-Christ.

Yes, he’ll be a light bearer...unlike his predessesors, convincing...whispering in itching ears all that they want to hear. But those who know the voice of the Master/Great Shepherd will easily discern the counterfeit.
That’s not very helpful. The poster makes an accusation without substantiating it, I offer to discuss it if the poster will post the references, then you chime in to tell me to go find it for myself. I think that’s enough fiddling with this thread. Have a nice day
