“Obama’s Catholic supporters would feel betrayed and discredited..”
How does it feel? You betrayed us, you betrayed your country, you betrayed, you betrayed your own teachings.
I have no empathy for these folks.
What I believe was the greatest Church of all, is crumbling before my eyes. Very sad times...
You are welcome back to the Catholic Church at any time.
What church do you now attend?
Great! Just six months too late.
I have no problem calling Catholics who voted for Obama fools. I call them stronger things myself....
“you betrayed, you betrayed your own teachings.”
That was supposed to read, “you betrayed the unborn, you betrayed your own teachings.”
Do not use potty language on the Religion Forum.
I call them CINOs. Catholics in Name Only.
And what perfect timing to do so.
Catholics Come HomeAddress:http://www.catholicscomehome.org/about-us.phtml
I think it can partly be explained as those identifying themselves as Catholic in the exit polls were likely “Easter Mass Catholics” or identify themselves as such from a traditional standpoint.
Wise Guy. : )
I sincerely doubt that the Catholics who are reading this on FR voted for Obama.
They had no clue he was like those the Catholics fought in 1683 AD to save Europe? For all the church’s faults, the Pope’s actions then saved Vienna and Europe.
The American Catholic Church is a major disappointment. Episcopal-Lite.
With all due respect - The CINOs stink. The liberal priests and bishops cause great harm to the church.
Notre Dame, Boston College (Ayres speech_), voting for Obama, ACORN, La Raza - very bad. The liberals in the church who are supporting leftist are helping those groups destroy Catholicism and America.
Evangelicals - I cannot stand that phony Rick Warren.
No Catholic should have voted for Obama
IF
HUMAN LIFE really mattered to them.
It didn’t.
MONEY was more important to them.

I thought this post was hopeful but I guess I was wrong judging from the responses. Many Catholics are now realizing their huge mistake - time to forgive and rally them to our cause. Lets pray for more to awaken from the error of their ways. I know a few who are sick about their votes but thereagain I also know one who still has an Obama sticker on her car which she parks right outside the Church. I want to pull the da*n thing off every time I see it. Its the only one I see and weve got a huge congregation and growing so much they’re standing in the aisles. Sunday - 8 Masses.
Obama has over done the parading of CINOs thinking this was a good thing but instead hes creating much angst among the rest of us. His speaking at ND yet another mistake on his part. Yes, it will probably happen but it will never be forgotten how he assisted in its demise. Hes under the false impression that were ready for division like the Episcopalians. He doesnt know Catholic history....were still standing after 2000 years of much worse strife.
We were weakened after the homosexual/pedophile scandal but growing in strength again - the marxists know it so it’s a let’s divide them strategy. God bless Pope Benedict.
Good Point. My apologies to Freeping Catholics.
Just this past Monday evening during a penence service, with about 6 priests, there was A LOT of people that came to celibrate the sacrement, including I in my parish. A good and hopeful sign. May these Catholics who voted for PBO come home to faith in Christ via that sacrement.
True, in my parish it will recieve come Holy Saturday night up to 13 new Catholics, including 9 children and 4 adults. Just got word last night right after choir practice. :)
Praise God that the RC Church is making a COMEBACK, despite the stumbling blocks thrown in its way, it OVERCOMES!! :)=^..^=
God Bless B16! :) =^..^=
