The truth is...
Jesus name was not Jesus....
Nor was Jehovas name jehova..

Hebrew language has NO "J's"... nor does the Greek language..

I remember the First Commandment: ‘I am the Lord thy God. You will not have strange gods before me’. So, I don’t know what to think. His way, it would seem to me, is the only way mankind could ever get along in harmony. Islam has got to be the Antichrist. Everything Mohammed preached is the exact opposite of what Jesus preached.

His followers were first called Netzerim (people of the branch) and later Christians.

Not quite right. In Hebrew, Jews call Christians "Notzrim," which means "Nazarenes"-- literally, "people from [the town of] Nazareth," and, by extension, followers of Jesus of Nazareth.

A recent poll claimed that about half of all professing Christians don’t believe that Jesus is God

Then they are not Christians.

A recent poll claimed that about half of all professing Christians don’t believe that Jesus is God, or that the Holy Spirit and Satan even exist.

HUH !!
What a silly and asinine poll.Or maybe they just found silly and asinine people.
If you do not accept Jesus Christ as the WORD then you are simply not a Christian. There for the people are not Christians and the poll is meaningless.

I can claim to be a Millionaire but if my bank balance shows 342 dollars then no matter what I claim I am not a millionaire...

I conducted a poll which found that 100% of self-professed atheists are in fact worshipers of the Rastazoroastrian deity Axolotl, and think themselves the reincarnated spirits of ancient Smurfs.

Of course, it was a limited sample, but MSNBC will publish it because all atheists likewise fully support Obama.

No one owns the franchise; anyone can believe anything they want to about Jesus. I have yet to meet the person qualified to judge another person’s heartfelt beliefs about Jesus.

From the article: The Jesus of Mormonism is the spirit brother of Lucifer. Both are sons of a god who was once a man and one of his many wives. This Jesus became a human as the result of a sexual union between the Mormon god and an unmarried Jewish girl named Mary. He’s often called the Savior but never Lord, because although he’s one of god’s sons, he’s not god. If he determines that you’ve done everything you possibly can to earn your own salvation and are still short, he’ll graciously make up the difference. He’ll return at the End of the Age, having protected his saints through the time of Great Tribulation, to set up his kingdom.

Re: "If he determines that you've done everything you possibly can to earn your salvation and are still short, he'll graciously make up the difference." Yup, this sizes up the Book of Mormon approach: 2 Nephi 25:23: ...saved by grace AFTER ALL YOU CAN DO

Anybody wanna raise their hands & claim they've done EVERYTHING they could ever do? Spiritually? Physically? Emotionally? Relationally? Soulfully? Following thru on all good plans & priorities? No sins of omission?

What? No Takers?

So, after almost 500 years of Protestantism and “Bible Alone” theology about 50% of professed Christians do not believe Jesus is divine.

500 years ago, how many professed Christians would have answered that way?

Very, very few.

From the article: First there’s the Jesus of Judaism. He’s known in Jewish writings as the illegitimate son of Miriam (Mary). He lived in the first century CE (they don’t use AD) and led people away from main stream Judaism into a cult.

Not quite right. This was a hateful lie that led to hundreds of pogroms and Talmud-burnings throughout the centuries. While the Talmud has what could be obscure references, even the unredacted version makes no reference to "Jesus" in either Aramaic or translations into English etc. Oddly enough, one of the most transparent references is a quote from Matthew 5:17, where a so-called follower of Jesus in the First Century is being criticized for "making a new law" - where it quotes Jesus as saying that He had NOT come to abolish the Law. This is a starting point for renowned Jewish scholars like David Flusser (who is an Orthodox Jew) to argue that "Christianity" perverted and redefined the real "Jesus" to create an unrecognizable Blue-eyed, Blond-haired "Jesus" that more appealing to them. Flusser was an expert in New Testament Judaism, and although an Orthodox Jew, has written that Jesus and the first disciples were members of legitimate branch of Judaism.

From the article: Jews don’t believe in a second coming because they don’t believe there’s been a first one.

Wow. What kind of generalization is that? Putting that aside, I would challenge anyone to compare the Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Roman Catholic version of "the Second Coming" against Judaism's watching for Messiah. All-in-all, Judaism is better at watching for Messiah's first coming than those denominations are at watching for His "second coming."
