Romans 10 was written to people who were already members of the Church. It's not telling people they don't need the Church, it's telling Church members how to understand what they have. As should be obvious.
>>He sounds like a smart and thinking boy..., more blessed than his father... :-)<<
That was a bit curt.
r9etb is right, I flew right through your post and while I can understand why you posted all of it, some of us don’t really have the bandwidth to reload quickly.
Get a load of this post, second graf:

Well, it’s graphics that take bandwidth; not text. Text is nothing. One little banner at the top or anywhere in the post will take up more bandwidth than an entire article.
When I had just a phone modem, many years ago, which was 2400 Baud, I would set a browser to text only, block all the graphics and the text would fly down the browser. Text is never the problem...
It is on my dial-up. Maybe it’s just Juno.
It is not a international corporation in Rome or Geneva. it is not a building. If you believe the Holy Word of Elohim one finds that This starts in Deuteronomy 4:10. When one does a word study on Ekklesia
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
very quickly you find what it is not.
the word Ekklesia means an assembly of those
who have been called out by YHvH to hear His Word.
It is not a international corporation in Rome or Geneva.True, in both cases.
it is not a building.
If you believe the Holy Word of God one finds that the word Ekklesia means an assembly of those who have been called out by Jesus to hear His Word.Yes! The Catholic Church founded by Christ!
Holy Crap!
That whole thread is dynamite.
Yikes!
You wrote:
“Indulgences is one of the reasons the universal Catholic Church isnt that universal anymore.”
The Church is more universal NOW then it was in 1517. The Church is now everywhere in South, Central and North America and throughout much of Africa and Asia. That was NOT the case in 1517.
Here is a link about the current practices concerning indulgences. No money exchanges hands at all.

Well, I can pretty well bet you’re not running a 2400 Baud modem... LOL...
But, aside from that, block all graphics on your browser and things will fly... :-) You’ll be amazed.
I used to run Lynx (a *text-only* browser) and I loved it. Not a single graphic would come through and the page would just zip down like it was running a modern-day modem (and that was back during the 2400 Baud modem days).
It’s really the graphics that drag everyone down, and not the text...

An example of that is that Free Republic is including some graphics at the beginning of these threads. Now, there was one YouTube video posted automatically by Free Republic (advertising the Tea Parties)... it’s 10.5 MB.
Now, that one included YouTube Video will take up 730 times *more* bandwidth than the one post that I did (that one post I did was 14.72 K).
And..., in addition, graphics are posted quite frequently, here, and just one post with one graphic will easily exceed my one post, alone...
Are you saying that Catholics are NOT Christians? That’s what your statement implies.
Ekklesia is an assembly of those who have been Why then is Paul quoting Joel 2:32 ?
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
called out by YHvH to hear His Word. see Deut 4:10.
Well, it’s a good thing that I have Salvation in Jesus, the Messiah of Israel and not in any church here on earth.
I’m glad that when I’m absent from my body, that I’ll be immediately with Jesus, and with Him forevermore, and don’t have to be concerned about any of that indulgence stuff.... :-)
What you just wrote is “greek” to me.
But I’m sure the DH will understand!
thanks!
Why, the sacraments are primary vehicles of grace.
he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. (John 6:58)[The Lord] gave testimony to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands" (Acts 14:3)
he was also ordained by the churches companion of our travels, for this grace, which is administered by us, to the glory of the Lord, and our determined will (2 Cor. 8:19)
Neglect not the grace that is in thee, which was given thee by prophesy, with imposition of the hands of the priesthood. (1 Ti. 4:14, similar 2 Ti. 1:6)
Logical question, thanks for asking.
Basically I was saying that one included YouTube video that Free Republic included (that I just saw) is equal to me posting my “article” — 730 times over and over again... LOL...
And I was also saying that just “one picture” that you see that anyone posts..., just *one* picture or graphic is *more than equivalent* than all of my words.
For example, Free Republic is currently advertising the Tea Parties, and there is one brown colored graphic that has the dates of August 28 to September 12 on it. And it says “Tea Party Express”.
That one graphic that shows up over and over again on our threads, by Free Republic — is equal to my entire post on the Cambridge Declaration (a difference of about 10% at the most).
So, that one little graphic is the equivalent of my entire post... (that’s what it means in non-geek... LOL...)
This is not about Truth. People who argue like this don't care about truth. They don't even care about winning. They care about the appearance of winning.
I’m saying that the Roman Catholic Church, defined by its formal dogmas, is not a Christian church. And anyone who accepts those dogmas cannot be a Christian, any more than a Mormon or a Jehovah’s Witness.
Except in the sociological sense.
I get that from Galatians 1:8-10, for starters.
I do feel we’ve had this exact conversation before, but I’m happy to clarify.
