My prediction is that the Pope will not allow a picture imitating what he did with Pelosi.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
“social justice”
The concept of “social justice” is another of Satan’s inventions.
“If he does, then the left-wing moonbats will crap themselves.”
That visual gives me a chuckle. Running around in circles, squawking, and...
You could not be more right.
The fact that 1/3 of the bishops spoke out about ND has these shmoes scared stiff. They thought they had the bishops and Church in the the bag, 1/3 of them is dangerous stuff for the baby butcherists.
Freegards
I wish once, just once, when sinful people meet with the Pope, they’d touch him and start to sizzle, like flicking holy water on a vampire.
To my knowledge, he made only one statement where he lamented the pro-abortion use of the “seamless garment” theory, and that was basically in an attempt to defend it as it came under increasingly critical analysis.
Bernardin was one of the very earliest but at the same time most subtle of the AmChurch bishops; subtle probably precisely because he was early, and it was necessary to attain through sophistry what he could not do through a direct attack. I think he had a massively negative impact on the Church in the US, but because he was generally rather diplomatic about it and spent a lot of time unctuously presenting himself as the “great unifier,” he was much harder to combat.
I have heard several priests on Relevant Radio really defend the Seamless garment saying it was used in the way Bernardin did not intend.
Anyway we keep fighting the good fight. Thankfully we have some wonderful priests out there, and Bishops like Timothy Dolan, that are really having an impact on the faithful.
Let's hope it continues.
Blessings to you, and happy Feast of St. Thomas!
Yes indeed! Maybe it was just that Bernardin’s “nuances” got away from him. It is wonderful to have this new generation of bishops who say exactly what they mean and exactly what the Church’s teaching is on a given matter.
I think there is definitely an improvement, and I have even noticed that, under the influence of good bishops, some priests I thought of as somewhat unsure or timid about Church teachings are bucking up and actually getting more orthodox, or more outspoken about it, at least. There’s hope yet and I am feeling much more positive these days.
Happy Feast of St Thomas (who believed because he saw...but that’s because the Faith and the One we believe in is real).
Or the very least Saint Michael show Obama the sword of truth.
This was a Saul Alinsky project.
Obama said his encounters with the cardinal continue to influence him, particularly his seamless garment approach to a multitude of social justice issues.
The only "seamless garment" is the "seamless garment" of all G-d's commandments.
Wasn't Cardinal Bernardin somewhat . . . sinister?
Double sigh. Once again liberation 'theology' rears it's ugliness.
was saved from the charges of the man he had molested as a teenager only because of massive payouts by his fans
Funny how accused molester is not an issue if one says the magic words, ie social justice...
