Well, Jesus himself was a “mortal born of woman.” Besides, Jesus was talking about the greatness of John. I don’t see “even greater than my mother anyway, btw.” ;-)

It wouldn’t be very logical that Christ was including Himself given that He asserted He was God The Son etc.

Where'd you get the idea that Mary was greater than John??? Jesus never said that...She was called blessed...God blessed her among women because someone of her low estate was chosen to bear Jesus...

Luk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

And Mary did NOT say that from henceforth all generations shall call ONLY ME blessed...

You're trying to make the scriptures line up with your theology...And as you can see, it doesn't work...
