Eucharistic Miracle at St. Stephen's in New Boston MI.(Catholic Caucas)

This morning at Mass Fr. John Hedges gave a powerful talk on the Holy Eucharist. He mentioned in St. Faustina's Diary that Jesus told her that many people receive him as a "dead object." And after Holy Communion, it is as if he is invited in to someone's house and they close the door and leave. Fr. told us to prepare well and to spend time in silent adoration thanking God for the wondrous gift of his son.

Then Fr.John told us that we had a desecration of the Eucharist last weekend and that it was not the first time!!! He said that often people come from all over to an event--wedding, funeral, etc. and march up to receive the Sacrament (despite the fact that he always gives a little explanation about reception of the Eucharist when not a Catholic) or fallen away Catholics who need confession.

At any rate, a host was found with a bite out of it and stuck to a hymnal. Fr. removed the consecrated host, placed it in a container with some water in it to dissolve it and then dispose of it correctly. The next day he opened the tabernacle and the host was bleeding!!! He returned the host to the tabernacle and viewed it latere and the blood was now a small dot visible on the host. The third time he checked on the host, it was again full of blood. Fr. mentioned that this was not the first time this has happened. He had experienced this before but took it to mean that it was meant for him. This time he felt that he had to share it with the parish.

After Mass Fr. John held prayers for the reparation of desecration to the sacred species. With the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament we did the Litany to the Heart of Jesus, had Benediction and recited the Divine Praises.

I do not need to tell you how many of us were crying during the talk. People's faces were RED. At the end of the Mass, Fr John placed the monstrance on the altar and told us to genuflect on TWO knees and to keep absolute silence as we left. He himself remained kneeling in front of the altar until we had all left.

This made such an impression on me that I am wondering when our churches will have the communion rails again. Also, if you are still receiving in your hands (which is approved, I know) consider receiving on the TONGUE in reparation for all the sacriligous Holy Communions. This is so sad. The number of Catholics who believe in the Real Presence is staggeringly LOW...Just under 30 percent!!! And there are so many priests who no longer believe that it is a crying shame. IT IS TIME TO STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH OF OUR CHURCH AND HER TRUTHS. PEOPLE, IT IS THE TIME FOR WITNESSING, NO MATTER WHAT! IT IS THE TIME FOR MARTYRDOM---WHITE AND PERHAPS EVEN RED, DOWN THE PIKE. KNOW YOUR TRUTH AND SPEAK IT BOLDLY. THIS IS EXPECTED OF YOU. DO NOT DELAY. TIME IS SHORT!

I become very passionate about our faith and will not keep silent. If this message moves you, spread it about.

shalom! maranatha!

Carol

Keep us posted. I am always a bit skeptical of miraculous phenomena;

I will..but I don't understand your skepticism?

There was a similar miracle report from Poland a few months ago. Maybe someone remembers?

Irisshlass:

Great post.

There is no greater miracle than the Holy Eucharist, the Lord gives Himself to us, totally, as Love and as Food. When I adore Him at the elevation of the Host after the Lamb of God, my heart just fills with tender love and gratitude and contrition. Thus, there is no need for any visible sign. By the intellectual of faith, I know for certainly that the Lord together with the priest consecrates bread and wine, offers the Divine Sacrifice to the Father, and feeds me His Body with His own precious Hand. HE IS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.

Go to Mass with great desire and longing, you shall witness Eucharistic miracle in your heart.

Very sad. Pray for their re-conversion to the Real Presence of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ in the Eucharistic Sacrament.

Thank you for posting this. I have always thought it would be a very powerful witness if a whole congregation got up, one at a time, and told of an experience where they felt God’s real presence or that something inexplicably miraculous happened to them.

I imagine that many of us are holding on to stories because we are shy about telling them— but imagine how uplifting it would be to hear all the ways God is looking after us in a very real way. Think of what the children would learn about faith and God if they heard all these stories.

I will..but I don't understand your skepticism?

Well, take a look at the apparitions that have been deemed to be false over the years (I think of Bayside as a recent example).

And look at issues of hysteria that we see on a regular basis. ("Virgin Mary" on a piece of toast and all).

And consider that out of all the people actually healed, there are only like 74 cases that are actually cited at Lourdes.

As somebody points out, we already see the greatest miracle at every Mass. "Eucharistic Miracles" are like the cherry on top of the sundae. Not necessary but a blessing when they do happen.

My point is that I would rather say "apparent Eucharistic Miracle" until we find out that we have another Lanciano.

What an amazing story, and not surprising.

It's so hard to drive the point home to my CCD students that the Eucharist is the body and blood of Christ, but continue to do so. This is precious beyond words, and I will save this for next year's class.

Thank you!

I pray this moves more people to attend Adoration and for more churches to start having Adoration more often than just once a month

I understand discerning the above. Bayside was disapproved by the Bishop many years ago. It does take alot of prayer and discernment about those that claim to be getting messages from Jesus and Mary. The Eucharist there is no need for discernment for me.

“The Eucharist there is no need for discernment for me”

Nor for me. But stories do. No offense. And there are people who would, I am concerned, either use or abuse the Blessed Sacrament for what could be their own ends. For example, Julia Kim raises the hair on the back of my neck. Not because of any alleged Eucharistic Miracle, but because I see her using them to advance her”career” as a seer.

Maybe I am wrong with what I see, but I know I won’t be wrong letting the Church evaluate before either accepting something with Catholic Faith.
