No, the Flying Imams...

Re-review my post...I said Flying INmans...not Flying Imams

Somebody tagged us 3 years ago as "Flying INmans"...we've learned to roll w/the name-callers like yourself...so we embraced the Flying Inmans

The Flying Imams are the Jihadists who blow themselves up

No, those American Imams weren't Jihadists blowing themselves up...(Do you exaggerate every morsel of news your eyes feast upon?)

“Mormons are not believers! They are good peopls. They are not God’s people! Thus, they face an eternity in Hell!”

Glad you are not my judge. Glad I don’t know you personally and you don’t know me. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Best Friend and the Holy Ghost is my Witness.

I am afraid for anyone who takes it upon himself/herself to condemn another person, or group of persons, to hell. Now that is really frightening.

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

....."If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,... he is conceited and understands nothing..... He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words.... that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions...... and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth"........Tim. 6:3-5

Fabulous collection of scripture references to the deceptions taught to men which we are warned about Elsie. That's a save and thank you for it.

The above is one of my favorites because we see this constantly being played out today across our nation..... You are exactly right saying so many do not know what the scriptures say so they foolishly fall into those deceptions and they are growing in our country and churches at an alarming rate.

People do not care to feed themselves on the truth of God's word...rather spoon feeding now is required for this generation. Unfortunately I see some growth in churches but little if any maturity in the things of God....for God's word has been overrun by the "showtime" and the itchy ears want what they want, junk food instead of solid food.

God does say to "Put on the whole armor of God"... to be able to withstand the onslaught of deception that's here, and that will exceedingly multiply.

Christianity is the only way to heaven...

Take it up with the Boss: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." (Jesus, John 14:6 -- the Jesus who gives Mindbenders & other Minddistorters heartburn)

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

and just what IS that gospel SD? Smith spoke of it -

"It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the character of God and to know that we may converse with him as one man converses with another, and that he was once a man like us; yea, that God himself the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ himself did;"

Is this the 'gospel' of mormonism SD - you want to grow up to become gods? Better hope you keep hubby pleased else he won't call you thru the veil to become a goddess.

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Learning of the restored Gospel of Christ has been the greatest blessing in my life.

I don’t want to leave the Church and see no reason to. I have found it to be a wonderful influence for good in my life, the life of my family and so many people I know.

Don’t just love the FRaliban!

- - - -
Actaully, that is a VERY apt description of the LDS on here.

Used to be that THEY had free reign to promote Mormonism and no one could criticize them, those who did were often banned.

LDS proselytizing is very aggressive (and it was unchecked here on FR), and now we are able to ‘fight back’ and defend Christianity from their lies.

So, our presence on here is a good thing.

One doesn’t have to search very far to discern why you are on this thread bashing conservative Christians, Mr. “Crusading Reporter”.

MB is Geraldo Rivera? That explains SO much.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So now we are not allowed to say NO THANKS and shut the door in their 52,000 faces when they knock on it harrassing us with their unwelcome religion amd tell us that Christianity is not the religion of Christ and we must follow their “prophet” ???

Sounds very Islamic to me...

“I will be to this generation a second Mohammed, whose motto in treating for peace was ‘the Alcoran [Koran] or the Sword.’ So shall it eventually be with us—‘Joseph Smith or the Sword!’ “(Joey Smith, 1838)

and just what IS that gospel SD? Smith spoke of it - ...Is this the 'gospel' of mormonism SD - you want to grow up to become gods?

Why, 'Zilla & SD, we can jump ahead to Reasons #228-229 of the source article of this thread: Reason #228 to Leave Mormonism: Gospel entry

The Life and Teachings of Jesus & His Apostles, p. 351; But the Lord, through his grace, appeared to man, gave him the gospel or eternal plan whereby he might rise above the carnal and selfish things of life and obtain spiritual perfection. But he must rise by his own efforts and he must walk by faith.

Romans 6:22-23; But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Reason #229 to Leave Mormonism: The Gospel

Discourses of Brigham Young, pg. 1; The Gospel of the Son of God that has been revealed is a plan or system of laws and ordinances, by strict obedience to which the people who inhabit this earth are assured that they may return again into the presence of the Father and the Son. 13:233.

Romans 10:9; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

There ya have it: Mormonism's 'Bootstrap' religion vs. God who sent His Son down to die for the lost, the blind, the spiritually disabled, those in bondage, those sick, and those spiritually dead.

Can't get much narrower "religion" than legalistic hoopjumpers who 'bootstrap' it on the backs of each individual.

(And then we see defenders of this narrow legalism by even non-Lds like Mindbender)

Don’t you guys/gals every get tired of disrespecting Mormons? Jesus suffered and died for us, too, and we love Him.

- - - -
You TRASH Him you mean.

And Yes, Jesus DID die for you, so why are you putting your faith in Joseph Smith instead?

Smith died trying to save his own behind, Christ died to save ours.

Personally I dont read science fiction..

But just how do you think Jesus lost, dropped, misplaced or had stolen His Church of believers that she ever needed to be “restored” to Him ???

HOW did that happen ???

Were you ever “blessed” with that knowledge ???

Do I have time to make coffee ???

My guess is YES...

One time the Visiting Teachers (women who come for a visit once a month) showed up to my mother’s ranch unannounced. She happened to be cleaning her shotgun at the time and took it to the door with her.

They never came back without calling first.

Saundra, what IS the gospel of Jesus Christ. Can you tell us, please? Especially since you proclaim to love it so.

Normandy, can you tell us what exactly is this "restored Gospel?" It sounds like a wonderful blessing. What exactly is it?

It almost always pays off to check posting histories. We have many posters come on these threads and inform us that they are just......

better than you

...oh SO good because they are tolerant of anti-Christian sects...I think "Kumbaya" is their theme song and Oprah is their inspiration.

They don't seem to realize that they sound like an advertisement for the liberal version of Christianity.

I don’t want to leave the Church and see no reason to. I have found it to be a wonderful influence for good in my life, the life of my family and so many people I know.

You know the Boy Scouts can also "be a wonderful influence for good" in the lives of scoutmasters, family members, and many people we know.

But there's a difference between the Boy Scouts and the Lds Church. The Boy Scouts don't:
* pretend to offer you a way to become a god...
* tell Boy Scouts, "you're a god-in-embryo" like the Mormon church does...

* change their most deeply held policies according to the whim of man...like Mormonism has with...
* ...polygamy (No: Book of Mormon times -- if they existed; Yes: 1830s to 1910...tho "officially" cut back in 1890; to be re-instituted when the Mormon jesus returns; practiced NOW on Kolob; No: 1910-2010)
* ...blood atonement (Yes: 1850s and smattering examples beyond that; No: Not taken up by Brigham's successors)
* ...blacks as priesthood holders, (No: 1830s to 1978; Yes: 1978 to present)
* ...Adam is god, (Yes: early 1850s to late 1870s; No: 1880-present)
* ...you can't become a god (No, you can't - 1830s Book of Mormon Mormonism + Book of Mormon "times" -- if they existed; Yes, you can - 1840s D&C Mormonism & beyond)
* ...God was a wannabe god when he was a man (No, not the case for 1830s Book of Mormon Mormonism or Book of Mormon "times" -- if they existed; Yes, he was for 1844 Mormonism & beyond)
* ...Jesus to be worshiped (Yes, 1830s Book of Mormon Mormonism + Book of Mormon "times" -- if they existed -- from 6th century B.C. (2 Nephi) --> 231 A.D. (4 Nephi) ...based upon some who still take at least 4 BoM passages + other Bible passages seriously; No, apostle Bruce McConkie says "no" in early 1980s)
* ...Jesus to be prayed directly to (Yes, 1830s Book of Mormon based upon numerous references in 3 Nephi 19; No, at some point Lds leaders simply said "no")
* ...Baptism for the dead (No, no such thing in 1830s Book of Mormon Mormonism or Book of Mormon "times" -- if they existed; Yes, 1840s and beyond)

All you have to do to "discover 'truth'" in Mormonism is watch the "prophet" wave his wand...and if you don't like Mormon 'truth' today...don't worry...it'll change tomorrow.
