I disagree that freedom can be granted. It can be taken, otherwise, you are not free. If you serve Christ, you may be free from evil, but you are not free in total.

St. Francis put it, "Preach the Gospel always; when necessary, use words." How we behave, matters. That is an urban legend..Francis never said that..in fact he himself was an zealous preacher of the gospel
There are few "nicer " people than Mormons.. yet to follow that gospel is a road to hell

Fixed... If by "fixed" you mean, "made a dishonest change to feeed your own, personal prejudices." I will thank you to not do that again.
I wrote what I wrote for a reason. Your behavior simply reinforces my point about the perception of arrogant behavior by those who call themselves Christians.

I know people who have been in prison because of their faith and they will tell you their freedom was not taken. They were free in Christ.

FR is set up to give you the ability not to participate in religious discussion ... so feel free not to come.. personally I like both

Now, WHICH Gospel are you referring to? You're making my point. You might want to read Jesus' story about The Pharisee and the Tax Collector. You know, just in case you missed His point the first time around.

Thank you for your support! Jim's support is well deserved. I, for one have seen the fruit of your efforts over the past two or so years. Thank you.

Thank you for your advice and patience. But as far as 'to volley the ball back to his side of the court' - I think not.
construct an example or hypothesis and ask him how he would apply his advice to it.
Are you sure I wouldn't be accused of acting superior - like me the teacher quizzing he the student? :)
Taken from small voice in the wilderness' post which is my belief, also.........We do NOT believe the same things and are NOT called to travel back and forth, around the cross, in order to make nice.
It's known it's the receiver who decides to take it personal. You've been most kind, thanks again.

I tend to stay away from the Religious Forum. I came here for political discussion and not get involved with burning people on the stake because they have a differing view on religion. Don't bother replying to me, I've said all I will.Too late now...You left your name and we'll have the last word...

Whose doctrine?Exactly ..that is why we have different Jesus's
I will not pretend to accept false doctrine as true to make nice.. I am told to present the gospel and I will do that no matter who is offended.. I am not looking to make friends or faux christians so that we all can get along .. eternity is forever..
Jesus said they would know us by how much we LOVE ONE ANOTHER" not heathens or heretics ... We are to have no fellowship with darkness..

I suggest that folks should concern themselves more with things they themselves might say, and whether those things are “going too far” ... and concern themselves less with whether someone else is “going too far”.
Gee, I didn’t find this in the Bible.
