The Taliban executed a pregnant widow. She was a widow but accused of becoming pregnant after her husband's death. Sanam Gul was accused of adultery in western Afghanistan, and shot in the head for her alleged crime on Saturday.

Sanam Gul, also known as Sanam Bibi, was 47-years-old. She was killed in Badghis province Saturday morning, said Ashrafuddin Majidi, the provincial governor's spokesman, according to CNN.

Qades, Hashim Habibi, confirmed the execution. The woman stood accused of adultery, but not confirmed. Habbi said, "The woman was accused of adultery that left her pregnant. The Taliban shadow district governor, Mullah Abdul Hakim, and his judge ordered the woman to be executed."

Mohammad Yousuf, a Taliban commander, shot the woman in the head.

Pray the rosary!
At Lepanto, the Victory over the Moslems was won by the faithful praying the Rosary. Even though they had superior numbers, the Turks really were overmatched. Blessed Padre Pio, the Spiritual Father of the Blue Army, said: "The Rosary is the weapon," and how right he was! --Our Lady and Islam: Heaven's Peace Plan.

You are still taking this whole thing out of context thus your argument is irrelevant.

This is the cult that wants to build a cult headquarters on the World Trade Center site in New York.

Check our dictionary:

Religion:
–noun
1.
a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
2.
a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.
3.
the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions.
4.
the life or state of a monk, nun, etc.: to enter religion.
5.
the practice of religious beliefs; ritual observance of faith.
6.
something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience: to make a religion of fighting prejudice.
7.
religions, Archaic . religious rites.
8.
Archaic . strict faithfulness; devotion: a religion to one’s vow.

Even Atheism qualifies as a “religion”. Darwinism is a Religion. Global Warming is a Religion.

Unfortunately, people have misused the word religion to mean only Christianity (or in other cultures, their particular preferred faith is religion and all others are cults). In reality, again according to the real definition, belief systems are religions. Yes, there are many false religions.

Bet you didn’t know that when Christians “go to church”, regardless of if they are in a liturgical service as practiced by Catholics, Methodists, Anglicans, etc., or the more “free” Baptists, Pentecostal, Charismatic, AOG, etc. - they all are engaged in “cultic activities”... Again, another word that has been manipulated beyond its actual meaning.

I submit that in correct use, religion is more than just a box filled with selected “Christian” flavors, just as “cult” and “cultic” is more than just non-christian activities and beliefs.

I submit that islam is a death cult and needs to be wiped out.

Simple enough?

If you aren’t going to fight to win, don’t fight.

While I agree with your statement, I just think a nuclear response is too much, since the actual Taliban is probably a very small percentage of the population. Doing something like that isn't any different than Saddam spraying the Kurds with sarin.

I'm all for it.

Sick, nasty, evil, twisted bastards.

How could a woman of that age be pregnant in Afghanistan?Women in their late-40s often conceive in Western nations, but that is because of reproductive technologies. In Afghanistan, women go through the menopause much earlier, and don’t usually conceive after 40.

The Taliban has denied this story, and it does have a aura of propaganda about it.
