Oh, and modern pagans drive cars, use air conditioners, watch TV and eat... so stop doing that. Of course, the TV thing is a good idea. Ok fine, pagans met together in groups to honor their gods, pagans WORE CLOTHES (well, sometimes) during their religious activities. Therefore you all need to strip naked and stop meeting together, otherwise you're trying to sanctify pagan practices.
You know what else gets sanctified in the Christian religion? PEOPLE! The whole point of religion is to return to God. Etymologically the word religion "re-ligio" may well be "re-connect", "re-bind". Sinful men are made holy, set aside, made sacred unto God. Everything in our lives should be sanctified and offered to the greater glory of God. Really now, you've never blessed a meal? Or is it possible that in keeping with the philosophy governing the separation of church and state people are separating their own lives into the sacred and profane. That's taking not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing to an extreme that can only lead to disaster.

Nobody worships priests, they are men. Nobody worships humans, including the saints. Nobody thinks they are God, why do you say that?
I say that because Rome teaches that its priests are "another Christ;" that Mary is a "co-redeemer;" and that saints are "mediators between God and men."
None of that is true. Priests are not "another Christ;" Mary is not anyone's "co-redeemer;" and saints do not "mediate" anything between God and men.
For 1800 years, Catholics believed Mary was assumed into heaven.
That is not true. That is pure fiction from Rome.
It wasn't formalized until Pope Pius XII. But way back in the very early church it was believed and taught.
Wrong. It was a recent and impious speculation that turned into RC doctrine just over a century ago.

If what you call Christianity relies on God's word alone, what if you disagree on interpretation or translation? How do you solve that?
We search the Scriptures and rightly divide the word to learn what is true. As Augustine said, "In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, charity."
And the vast majority of Protestants are unified in the most important doctrines of Christianity -- that men are saved by God's grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
Protestants believe that. Roman Catholics don't. In fact, Rome disbelieves that so much it anathematizes anyone who does believe it.
Good thing Rome isn't responsible for anyone's salvation.

OK, take a deep breath. If we had the body of the woman who we call the Blessed Mother of God, do you think there's ANY chance we wouldn't be parading it all over the place? I mean come on, we've got places claiming to have all sorts of strange relics, if someone thought they had the body of the BVM (or maybe even thought they could get away with claiming they had the body...) we'd never hear the end of it. You wanna talk about Madonna on tour? That'd be a procession that would drive puritans to drink.
There's also the Church of the Holy Sepulcher which is all about an empty tomb as well.

There's a lot of "Soprano's Salvation" thrown in for good measure, too -- sin all week long, confess and be forgiven on Sunday morning, and on Monday you're free to do it all over again.
That's called presumption, which is of course a sin, therefore it doesn't fool God. Not that Catholics have the market cornered on presumption, I think you'll find the Calvinistas have that covered.

Says who? Who says that man's standards apply? Not the Church? Who says that God has to do anything? Not the Church. On the other hand, we have various flavours of Protestants who claim some sort of hold on God - the ones who believe that they're saved, for instance, based upon what? No more than the Mormon burning in the breast, or the heartburn in the stomach. .
Rome may teach that but the Catholic Church doesn't. I'm dying to see a reference or citation to the contrary from an authorized representative of the Church. You don't suppose you could find those references or should I just conclude them to be lies and leave it at that.
And you have very little UNITY with Augustine on the essentials other than the Trinity and Baptism and a few other things.
