Who cares. Bashing is bashing.
There weren’t Christians of all stripes, Jews, and Muslims on the stage with Beck? And in the crowd? Does anyone think any of those people were praying to someone elses God? This Reverend would not attend an event like The National Prayer Breakfast because he might be praying next a person praying to a God other than his own? Am I the only one who finds his attitude un-Christian?
That is an ignorant and an Un-Christian stance.
“You can’t dismiss Christianity with that trite of a sentence.”
I’m dismissing the poster with that sentence. I’m dismissing his attempt to make this about Beck and Mormonism and to cause a rift among conservatives. As I said, these posts have been happening a lot today. Playing right into the MSM agenda. I refuse to jump on their ‘Yeah, it was effective but Beck is a Mormon!’ bandwagon.
I DID NOT GIVE BECK A DIME...I DID NOT GO SATURDAY...YET I FEEL CLOSER TO GOD AND MY COUNTRY AFTER SATURDAY THEN I HAVE IN A LONG TIME...
whew...feeling better now. Thanks Beck...You done good by me.
Amen my Brother!
Sam Adams was a fool if he prayed to any man’s god, instead of Jehovah.
The Rabbi and the Imam are not trying to sell their religions as Christianity, Beck is doing a very good job of selling Mormonism to Christians as Christian as evidenced by this thread and others like it.
The Mormons are currently running a PR campaign selling Mormonism as Christian, and Mormon missionaries will be showing up at Christian homes capitalizing on this and selling Mormonism as Christian.
If I pray to a Cadillac but think Im praying to a Toyota...Im not praying to a Cadillac.
That's the same mentality that brought us a corrupt and worthless GOP.
To sum up...yes, I think he is on theologically shakey ground, but he is doing the job we all should have been doing, but didn't or couldn't. I say, even if I am sure I am more right, and even if the Bible agrees with me, it is not my job to judge the state of his soul, and he may come round. God's job. If some of you folks REALLY want to impress me, write a thank you letter to him, and AFTER you congratulate him, compose specific paragraphs on WHY you disagree with him. Kindly. Honestly. But do more than say, "we should walk away from the great message he passes, and the way he risked his life to stand in the breech while we sat in our nice, safe homes, because he's not hearing Jesus entirely clearly." Put your witness where your gripe is, kindly, and clearly. But thank the man first.
AMEN!!!
Sign me up for that because I ain't listening to jack that Beck says. His god is no more real than the god of the Muslims and I dang sure ain't listening to them either.
Becks jesus is the brother of Lucifer.
That ain’t my God.
Beck is the biggest breakthrough that Mormonism has ever had in reaching new converts, Beck is mainstreaming Mormonism and becoming the national leader of conservative Christians, he is becoming our national minister.
The division Beck is causing is having Christians step up in defense of Mormonism and against Christians that try to raise the flag of warning and awareness.
Did Jefferson as you to unite and pray to his god?
This should be enough for any self respecting Deity.
